قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع إِذَا كَانَتِ الْحُرَّةُ تَحْتَ الْعَبْدِ فَالطَّلَاقُ وَ الْعِدَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ يَعْنِي تَطْلِيقَهَا ثَلَاثاً وَ تَعْتَدُّ ثَلَاثَ حِيَضٍ.

Ali, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah asws having said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen asws said: ‘When the free woman is under the slave, so the divorce and the waiting period is with the women, meaning he divorces would be three, and she would wait for three menstruations’.
