سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْمَمْلُوكِ بَيْنَ شُرَكَاءَ فَيُعْتِقُ أَحَدُهُمْ نَصِيبَهُ فَقَالَ هَذَا فَسَادٌ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ يُقَوَّمُ قِيمَةً وَ يَضْمَنُ الثَّمَنَ الَّذِي أَعْتَقَهُ لِأَنَّهُ أَفْسَدَهُ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ.

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked him asws about the slave owned between partners, so one of them emancipates his share. So he asws said: ‘This is a spoiling upon his companion. His price would be evaluated, and he would be responsible for the price, the one who emancipated him because he spoilt it upon his companion’.
