سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ رَجُلٍ وَقَعَ عَلَى مُكَاتَبَتِهِ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أَدَّتِ الرُّبُعَ جُلِدَ وَ إِنْ كَانَ مُحْصَناً رُجِمَ وَ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَدَّتْ شَيْئاً فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ.

Yunus, from Al Halby who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah asws about a man who fell upon his contracted slave girl. He asws said: ‘If she has paid off the quarter (of what was owed by the contract), he would be whipped; and if he was married, he would be stoned; and if she has not paid off anything, so there is nothing upon him’.
