سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى- وَ لا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ أَجَلُّ وَ أَعْدَلُ وَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِعَبْدِهِ عُذْرٌ لَا يَدَعُهُ يَعْتَذِرُ بِهِ وَ لَكِنَّهُ فُلِجَ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ عُذْرٌ.

200. From him, from Ali, from Ismail Bin Mahraan, from Hammad Bin Busman who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah (asws) saying with regards to the Statement of Allah (azwj) Blessed and High: “[77:36] And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses”. So Imam (asws) said: ‘Allah (azwj) is more Majestic, and Just, and Greater than it, that if a servant has an excuse, He (azwj) would not Allow it to be presented by him. But, rather (it means that) he would fail and run out of excuses’.

[4]يقال: فلج أصحابه و على أصحابه إذا غلبهم أي صار مغلوبا بالحجة فليس له عذر فالمراد أنه ليس لهم عذر حتّى يؤذن لهم فيعتذروا قال البيضاوى: عطف فيعتذرون على يؤذن ليدل على نفى الاذن و الاعتذار عقيبه مطلقا و لو جعله جوابا لدل على عدم اعتذارهم لعدم الاذن و أوهم ذلك أن لهم غدرا لكن لم يؤذن لهم فيه.( آت)ص 178
