سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ الْأَحْوَلِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع يَقُولُ لَيْسَ مِنْ دَوَاءٍ إِلَّا وَ هُوَ يُهَيِّجُ دَاءً وَ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ فِي الْبَدَنِ أَنْفَعَ مِنْ إِمْسَاكِ الْيَدِ إِلَّا عَمَّا يُحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ.

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al-Hassan, from Muawiya Biin Hukeym who said, ‘I heard Usman Ahowl saying, who has narrated the following: I heard from Abu Al-Hassan (asws) saying: ‘There is none from the medicine but it agitates the illness, and there is nothing in the body more beneficial than restraining the hand except from what is needy for it’.
