Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad al- Minqari from Sufyan ibn ‘Uyayna who has said the following: “I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘To be hopeful toward Allah means not to have hope in anyone except Allah and not to be afraid of anything but one’s sins.’”

[2]فيه إشارة إلى أن حسن الظنّ باللّه ليس معناه و مقتضاه ترك العمل و الاجتراء على المعاصى اتكالا على رحمة اللّه بل معناه انه مع العمل لا يتكل على عمله و إنّما يرجو قبوله من فضله و كرمه و يكون خوفه من ذنبه و قصور عمله لا من ربّه. فحسن الظنّ لا ينافي الخوف بل لا بدّ من الخوف و ضمه مع الرجاء و حسن الظنّ كما مر( آت).ص 72
