3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Ftakam from al-Husayn ibn abu al-‘Ala’ who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Can a woman during her Hayd (menses) drink water which is her own leftover? 5 He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is permissible for her to do so but she must not use it for Wudu 5 .
