بَابُ مَا يُزَكَّى مِنَ الْحُبُوبِ‌

وَ رَوَى أَيْضاً عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّهُ قَالَ:

كُلُّ مَا دَخَلَ الْقَفِيزَ فَهُوَ يَجْرِي مَجْرَى الْحِنْطَةِ وَ الشَّعِيرِ وَ التَّمْرِ وَ الزَّبِيبِ قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِي جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ هَلْ عَلَى هَذَا الْأَرُزِّ وَ مَا أَشْبَهَهُ مِنَ الْحُبُوبِ الْحِمَّصِ وَ الْعَدَسِ‌ زَكَاةٌ فَوَقَّعَ ع صَدَقُوا الزَّكَاةُ فِي كُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ كِيلَ.

4. It is narrated from him (narrator of previous Hadith) Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, ‘We have fresh dates and rice. So what we owe for it?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You do not owe anything because of fresh dates. If rice is watered by rains from the sky one out of ten is Zakat but if it is watered with buckets then one out of twenty is Zakat on whatever you measure by al-Sa‘ or that he (the Imam) said, ‘Whatever is measured by measuring devices.’”
