مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ الْمُهْتَدِي قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع عَنِ الْقُطْنِ وَ الزَّعْفَرَانِ عَلَيْهِمَا زَكَاةٌ قَالَ لَا.

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Mahziyar from ‘Abd ‘Aziz ibn al-Muhtadiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about cotton and saffron if there is Zakat on it. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, Zakat is not due on it.’”
