حَصَى الْجِمَارِ تَكُونُ مِثْلَ الْأَنْمُلَةِ وَ لَا تَأْخُذْهَا سَوْدَاءَ وَ لَا بَيْضَاءَ وَ لَا حَمْرَاءَ خُذْهَا كُحْلِيَّةً مُنَقَّطَةً تَخْذِفُهُنَّ خَذْفاً وَ تَضَعُهَا عَلَى الْإِبْهَامِ وَ تَدْفَعُهَا بِظُفُرِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَ ارْمِهَا مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَ اجْعَلْهُنَّ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ كُلَّهُنَّ وَ لَا تَرْمِ عَلَى الْجَمْرَةِ وَ تَقِفُ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ وَ لَا تَقِفْ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ.

7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Pebbles for al-Jamar must be of the size of fingertips. You must not take the black ones, white ones, or red ones. Take those, which are like knickknack and dotted. You should hurl them by placing them on the thump and hurl them with the nail of your index finger. Throw them from the side of the valley when they are on your right side. You must not climb on al-Jamarah. You should stand near the two first al-Jamarah and do not stand near al-Jamarah al-‘Aqabah.’”

[1]أي لا يقف مقابل الجمرة بل ينحدر إلى بطن الوادى و يجعلها عن يمينه فيرميها منحرفا.( آت) و الخذف- بالمعجمتين- رميك بحصاة أو نواة.« و اجعلهن عن يمينك» يعنى الجمار في بعض النسخ[ على يمينك كلهن] يعنى الثلاث جميعا. قوله« لا ترم على الجمرة» يعنى لا تصعد فوق الجبل فترمى الحصاة عليها بل قف على الأرض و ارم إليها.ص 478
