عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ كَلْبِ الْمَجُوسِيِّ يَأْخُذُهُ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ فَيُسَمِّي حِينَ يُرْسِلُهُ أَ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا أَمْسَكَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ لِأَنَّهُ مُكَلَّبٌ قَدْ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Sulayman ibn Khalid who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the dog that belongs to a Zoroastrian person; if a Muslim person can take and send it to catch a prey and mentions the name of Allah and if he can use the hunt for food. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, because it is trained and he has mentioned the name of Allah.”’
