3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Musa ibn Bakr who has said the following: “Once abu al-Hassan, al- Awwal asked me, ‘Why do you look pale?’ I replied, ‘I suffer from a certain pain.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Eat meat.’ I ate meat and the next Friday he (the Imam) saw me as pale as before and said, ‘Did I not tell you to eat meat?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I have not eaten anything other than meat from the day you instructed me.’ He (the Imam) then asked, ‘How did you eat?’ I replied, ‘I ate as mixed with other items.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, eat as kabab.’ I then ate kabab and he (the Imam) sent for me next Friday when my blood level had come back in my face, and he (the Imam) said to me, ‘Now it is good, you are fine.’”

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Abu Nasr from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Shami from al-Husayn ibn Hanzalah who has said the following: “One of the two Imam, (Abu Ja‘far or Abu ‘Abd Allah) (a.s.) has said, eating kabab dispels fever.’”

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Ali ibn al-Rayyan ibn al-Salt from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn ‘Abd Allah al-Wasitiy from Wasil ibn Sulayman from Durust who has said the following: “We once mentioned heads of sheep before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and he (the Imam) said, ‘The head is the place of slaughtering (intelligence), close to means for grazing and far from harms.’”

Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from Bistam ibn Murrah al-Farsiy who has said that narrated to us ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid al-Farsiy from Muhammad ibn Ma’ruf from Salih ibn Razin who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘You must eat al- Harisah (mashed grains and meat) because it energizes you for worshipping for forty days. It was of the items in the table-spread with food that was revealed to the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause.’”

2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Dihqan from Durust ibn abu Mansur from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘A Prophet of the Prophets of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, complained against deficiency in going to bed with one’s wife and he was commanded to eat al-Harisah (mashed grains and meat).’”
