[١]الشليثاء: دهن معروف عندهم و في بحر الجواهر: معجون مركب من أدوية كثيرة نافع من ادواء كثيرة.
[٢]« خسفيه» فى القاموس: الخسف: مخرج ماء الركية انتهى. و لعله استعير هنا للانف و في بعض النسخ حشفته و هو بعيد.( آت)
[٣]في بعض النسخ[ الجلجلان] و في القاموس الجلجلان- بالضم ثمر الكزبرة و حبّ السمسم. و الحل- بالفتح-: دهن السمسم.
كَانَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى ع يَسْتَعِطُ بِالشَّلِيثَا وَ بِالزَّنْبَقِ الشَّدِيدِ الْحَرِّ خَسْفَيْهِ قَالَ وَ كَانَ الرِّضَا ع أَيْضاً يَسْتَعِطُ بِهِ فَقُلْتُ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ لِمَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ ذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِبَعْضِ الْمُتَطَبِّبِينَ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ جَيِّدٌ لِلْجِمَاعِ.
2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-‘ Abbas ibn Ma‘ruf from al-Ya‘qubiy from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah from Ali ibn Ja‘far who has said the following: “Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), would smell al-Shalisha (a certain mixture) and gladiola as medicine to cure the heat of his runny nose. I asked ‘Ali ibn Ja‘far about it. Ali said that I mentioned it to a certain physician who said that it is very good for going to bed with one’s wife.’”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى رَأْسَهُ اسْتَعَطَ بِدُهْنِ الْجُلْجُلَانِ وَ هُوَ السِّمْسِمُ.
1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from more than one person from al-Khashshab from Ghiyath ibn Kalub from Ishaq ibn ‘Ammar who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, complained about his head he inhaled sesame oil.”’

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص كَانَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَسْتَعِطَ بِدُهْنِ السِّمْسِمِ
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘ Abd Allah from certain persons of his people from son of the daughter al-Awzahy from Mas‘adah ibn al-Yasa‘ from Qays al-Bahiliy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, liked to inhale the fragrance of sesame oil.’”

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ص إِذَا أُتِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ بِرَيْحَانٍ فَلْيَشَمَّهُ وَ لْيَضَعْهُ عَلَى عَيْنَيْهِ فَإِنَّهُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَ إِذَا أُتِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ بِهِ فَلَا يَرُدَّهُ.
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa and Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid all from ibn Mahbub from Ibrahim ibn Mehzam from Talhah ibn Zayd from the one who has narrated it in a marfu ‘ manner has said the following: “The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘If one brings you sweet basil you must smell it and place it on your eyes because it is from the garden (paradises); and if it is brought for you do not reject it.’”
