أَعْجَلُ الشَّرِّ عُقُوبَةً الْبَغْيُ.
Hadith.5802 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The quickest evil to be punished is oppression." (by Allah (swt) in the Hereafter)
أَسْرَعُ الْخَيْرِ ثَوَاباً الْبِرُّ[5].
Hadith.5803 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The fastest good to be rewarded is righteousness." (by Allah (swt) in the Hereafter)
الْمُسْلِمُونَ عِنْدَ شُرُوطِهِمْ[6].
Hadith.5804 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Muslims are bound by their agreements." (that they make to others)
إِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ لَحِكْمَةً وَ إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْراً.
Hadith.5805 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Indeed, some poetry contains wisdom, and indeed, some speech has a magical effect."
ارْحَمْ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ[7].
Hadith.5806 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One (Allah (swt)) in the heavens will show mercy to you."
مَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ[1].
Hadith.5807 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Whoever is killed defending his wealth is a martyr."
الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْعَائِدِ فِي قَيْئِهِ.

لَا يَحِلُّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ الْمُؤْمِنَ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ.
Hadith.5809 - The Prophet (sw) said; "It is not permissible for a believer to abandon his believing brother for more than three days."
مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمْ لَا يُرْحَمْ.

الدَّالُّ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ كَفَاعِلِهِ.

حُبُّكَ لِلشَّيْءِ يُعْمِي وَ يُصِمُّ.
Hadith.5814 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Your love for something blinds and deafens you." (to its faults and catches)
لَا يَشْكُرُ اللَّهَ مَنْ لَا يَشْكُرُ النَّاسَ.
Hadith.5815 - The Prophet (sw) said; "He does not (rightfully) thank Allah (swt), who does not thank people." (for doing good onto him)
لَا يُؤْوِي الضَّالَّةَ إِلَّا الضَّالُ[2].
Hadith.5816 - The Prophet (sw) said; "No one shelters the misguided except the misguided."
اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَ لَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ[3].
Hadith.5817 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if it is with half a date." (showing the enormous merits of even the modest acts of Charity or 'Sadaqa')
الْأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ فَمَا تَعَارَفَ مِنْهَا ائْتَلَفَ وَ مَا تَنَاكَرَ مِنْهَا اخْتَلَفَ.
Hadith.5818 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The souls are like recruited soldiers; those that recognize one another will find harmony, and those that do not will be in discord." (regarding spiritual affinity between individuals)
مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ[4].
Hadith.5819 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The delay in (due) payment by a wealthy person is injustice."
السَّفَرُ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ.
Hadith.5820 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Travel (discomforts) is a portion of torment."
النَّاسُ مَعَادِنُ كَمَعَادِنِ الذَّهَبِ وَ الْفِضَّةِ.
Hadith.5821 - The Prophet (sw) said; "People are like mines, just as gold and silver mines."
صَاحِبُ الْمَجْلِسِ أَحَقُّ بِصَدْرِ مَجْلِسِهِ[5].
Hadith.5822 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The host of a gathering has the most right to the forefront of his gathering."
احْثُوا فِي وُجُوهِ الْمَدَّاحِينَ التُّرَابَ[1].
Hadith.5823 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Throw dust onto the faces of those who excessively praise (you)." (advises rejecting excessive flattery)
اسْتَنْزِلُوا الرِّزْقَ بِالصَّدَقَةِ.
Hadith.5824 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Bring down means of sustenance (from Allah (swt)) through (giving) charity."
ادْفَعُوا الْبَلَاءَ بِالدُّعَاءِ.
Hadith.5825 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Repel affliction with supplication." (emphasizes the power of supplication (dua) in warding off difficulties and hardships)
جُبِلَتِ الْقُلُوبُ عَلَى حُبِّ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهَا وَ بُغْضِ مَنْ أَسَاءَ إِلَيْهَا.
Hadith.5826 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Hearts are naturally inclined to love those who do good to them and to dislike those who harm them."
مَا نَقَصَ مَالٌ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ[2].
Hadith.5827 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Wealth does not decrease because of (giving in) charity."
لَا صَدَقَةَ وَ ذُو رَحِمٍ مُحْتَاجٌ.
Hadith.5828 - The Prophet (sw) said; "There is no charity while a close relative is in need." (needy relatives have a bigger right over the money that was to be given in charity elsewhere)
الصِّحَّةُ وَ الْفَرَاغُ نِعْمَتَانِ مَكْفُورَتَانِ[3].
Hadith.5829 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Health and free time are two neglected blessings." (failing to recognize the true value of good health and downtime or spare time)
عَفْوُ الْمَلِكِ أَبْقَى لِلْمُلْكِ[4].
Hadith.5830 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The forgiveness of a king preserves the kingdom longer."
هِبَةُ الرَّجُلِ لِزَوْجَتِهِ تَزِيدُ فِي عِفَّتِهَا.
Hadith.5831 - The Prophet (sw) said; "A man's gift to his wife increases her chastity." (strengthens her sense of loyalty and affinity for her husband)
لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ الْخَالِقِ.
Hadith.5832 - The Prophet (sw) said; "There is no obedience to the created (makhlooq) in disobedience to the Creator (Khaliq, the one Allah (swt))." (Obedience to anyone other than Allah (swt), will not supercede the divine commands of Allah (swt) if it leads to the disobedience of Allah (swt)) "
اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ بِعَقِبِهَا- فَانْقَلَبُوا بِنِعْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَ فَضْلٍ لَمْ يَمْسَسْهُمْ سُوءٌ[5] وَ عَجِبْتُ لِمَنِ اغْتَمَّ كَيْفَ لَا يَفْزَعُ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى- لا إِلهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ بِعَقِبِهَا- فَاسْتَجَبْنا لَهُ وَ نَجَّيْناهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَ كَذلِكَ نُنْجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ[1] وَ عَجِبْتُ
"I am amazed at the one who becomes afraid - how does he not turn to the words of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic: 'Allah (swt) is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs' (Surah AAl-E-Imran 3:173)? For I heard Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, say immediately after it: 'So they returned with
لَهُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ عَلِّمْنِي مَوْعِظَةً فَقَالَ لَهُ ع إِنْ كَانَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى قَدْ تَكَفَّلَ بِالرِّزْقِ فَاهْتِمَامُكَ لِمَا ذَا وَ إِنْ كَانَ الرِّزْقُ مَقْسُوماً فَالْحِرْصُ لِمَا ذَا وَ إِنْ كَانَ الْحِسَابُ حَقّاً فَالْجَمْعُ لِمَا ذَا وَ إِنْ كَانَ الْخَلَفُ[5] مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ حَقّاً فَالْبُخْلُ لِمَا ذَا وَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الْعُقُوبَةُ مِنَ اللّ
Hadith.5836 - Muhammad ibn Ziyad Al-Azdi narrated from Aban ibn Uthman Al-Ahmar, from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), that a man came to him and said: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O' son of the Messenger of Allah (swt), teach me something that will admonish me." وَ قَالَ ع إِنِّي لَأَرْحَمُ ثَلَاثَةً وَ حَقٌّ لَهُمْ أَنْ يُرْحَمُوا عَزِيزٌ أَصَابَتْهُ مَذَلَّةٌ بَعْدَ الْعِزِّ وَ غَنِيٌّ أَصَابَتْهُ حَاجَةٌ بَعْدَ الْغِنَى وَ عَالِمٌ يَسْتَخِفُّ بِهِ أَهْلُهُ وَ الْجَهَلَةُ[2].
Hadith.5837 - Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), said: "Indeed, I feel mercy for three people, and it is their right to be shown mercy: A noble person who has been humiliated after his honor, A wealthy person who has fallen into poverty after wealth, And a scholar who is belittled by his own people and
وَ قَالَ ع خَمْسٌ هُنَّ كَمَا أَقُولُ لَيْسَتْ لِبَخِيلٍ رَاحَةٌ وَ لَا لِحَسُودٍ لَذَّةٌ وَ لَا لِلْمَمْلُوكِ وَفَاءٌ[3] وَ لَا لِكَذُوبٍ مُرُوءَةٌ وَ لَا يَسُودُ سَفِيهٌ[4].
Hadith.5838 - Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Five things are exactly as I say: A miser will never find comfort, A jealous person will never experience pleasure, A slave will not have loyalty, A liar will have no honor, And a foolish person will never attain leadership."
إِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَسَعُوا النَّاسَ بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ فَسَعُوهُمْ بِأَخْلَاقِكُمْ[5]
أَعْبَدُ النَّاسِ مَنْ أَقَامَ الْفَرَائِضَ[8] وَ أَسْخَى النَّاسِ مَنْ أَدَّى زَكَاةَ مَالِهِ وَ أَزْهَدُ النَّاسِ مَنِ اجْتَنَبَ الْحَرَامَ وَ أَتْقَى النَّاسِ مَنْ قَالَ الْحَقَّ فِيمَا لَهُ وَ عَلَيْهِ وَ أَعْدَلُ النَّاسِ مَنْ رَضِيَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا يَرْضَى لِنَفْسِهِ وَ كَرِهَ لَهُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَ أَكْيَسُ النَّاسِ مَنْ كَانَ أَشَدَّ ذِكْراً لِلْمَوْتِ وَ أَغْبَطُ النَّاسِ مَنْ كَانَ تَحْتَ التُّرَ
Hadith.5840 - Yunus ibn Zabyan narrated from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), that he said: "Being well-known for worship is a source of suspicion. My father Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), narrated to me from his father Imam Ali ibn Al-Hussain (as), from his grandfather Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (
وَ مَرَّ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع[2] بِرَجُلٍ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِفُضُولِ الْكَلَامِ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا هَذَا إِنَّكَ تُمْلِي عَلَى حَافِظَيْكَ كِتَاباً إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَتَكَلَّمْ بِمَا يَعْنِيكَ وَ دَعْ مَا لَا يَعْنِيكَ.
Hadith.5841 - The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, passed by a man who was speaking excessively and unnecessarily. Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) stopped and said to him: "O' man, you are dictating to your two recording angels a book to be presented to your Lord (azj). So speak only about what concerns you an
وَ قَالَ ع[3] لَا يَزَالُ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ يُكْتَبُ مُحْسِناً مَا دَامَ سَاكِتاً فَإِذَا تَكَلَّمَ كُتِبَ مُحْسِناً أَوْ مُسِيئاً.
Hadith.5842 - The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said: "A Muslim man continues to be recorded as a doer of good as long as he remains silent. But when he speaks, he is recorded either as a doer of good or a doer of evil."
الصَّمْتُ كَنْزٌ وَافِرٌ وَ زَيْنُ الْحَلِيمِ وَ سِتْرُ الْجَاهِلِ[4]
وَ قَالَ ع كَلَامٌ فِي حَقٍّ خَيْرٌ مِنْ سُكُوتٍ عَلَى بَاطِلٍ[5].
Hadith.5844 - Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), said: "Speaking the truth is better than remaining silent upon falsehood."
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع كَانَتِ الْفُقَهَاءُ وَ الْحُكَمَاءُ إِذَا كَاتَبَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضاً كَتَبُوا بِثَلَاثٍ لَيْسَ مَعَهُنَّ رَابِعَةٌ مَنْ كَانَتِ الْآخِرَةُ هَمَّهُ كَفَاهُ اللَّهُ هَمَّهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ سَرِيرَتَهُ أَصْلَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَانِيَتَهُ وَ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ اللَّهِ أَصْلَحَ اللَّهُ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ[6].

طُوبَى لِمَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَ حَسُنَ عَمَلُهُ فَحَسُنَ مُنْقَلَبُهُ إِذْ رَضِيَ عَنْهُ رَبُّهُ وَ وَيْلٌ لِمَنْ طَالَ عُمُرُهُ وَ سَاءَ عَمَلُهُ فَسَاءَ مُنْقَلَبُهُ إِذْ سَخِطَ عَلَيْهِ رَبُّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ[1]
لَوْ لَا أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى أَخْبَرَكَ مَا أَخْبَرْتُكَ مَا شَرِبْتُ خَمْراً قَطُّ لِأَنِّي عَلِمْتُ أَنِّي إِنْ شَرِبْتُهَا زَالَ عَقْلِي وَ مَا كَذَبْتُ قَطُّ لِأَنَّ الْكَذِبَ يَنْقُصُ الْمُرُوءَةَ وَ مَا زَنَيْتُ قَطُّ لِأَنِّي خِفْتُ أَنِّي إِذَا عَمِلْتُ عُمِلَ بِي وَ مَا عَبَدْتُ صَنَماً قَطُّ لِأَنِّي عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ لَا يَضُرُّ وَ لَا يَنْفَعُ قَالَ فَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ ص يَدَهُ عَلَى عَاتِق
"Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, revealed to His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him and his family: 'I have thanked Jafar ibn Abi Talib (as) for four qualities.' The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, called him and informed him. Jafar (as) said: 'If Allah (swt), Blessed and Exalted,
وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص[2] قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ ضَالٌّ إِلَّا مَنْ هَدَيْتُهُ[3] وَ كُلُّكُمْ فَقِيرٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَغْنَيْتُهُ[4] وَ كُلُّكُمْ مُذْنِبٌ إِلَّا مَنْ عَصَمْتُهُ.
