سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنْ يُعَلِّمَنِي دُعَاءً لِلرِّزْقِ فَعَلَّمَنِي دُعَاءً مَا رَأَيْتُ أَجْلَبَ مِنْهُ لِلرِّزْقِ قَالَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ الْحَلَالِ الطَّيِّبِ رِزْقاً وَاسِعاً حَلَالًا طَيِّباً بَلَاغاً لِلدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ صَبّاً صَبّاً[2] هَنِيئاً مَرِيئاً مِنْ غَيْرِ كَدٍّ وَ لَا مَنٍّ مِنْ أَحَدِ خَلْقِكَ إِلَّا سَعَةً مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ فَإِنَّكَ قُلْ

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع لَقَدِ اسْتَبْطَأْتُ الرِّزْقَ فَغَضِبَ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَكَفَّلْتَ بِرِزْقِي وَ رِزْقِ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ يَا خَيْرَ مَدْعُوٍّ وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ أَعْطَى وَ يَا خَيْرَ مَنْ سُئِلَ وَ يَا أَفْضَلَ مُرْتَجًى افْعَلْ بِي كَذَا وَ كَذَا[2].

“Once I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘Sustenance has been delayed.’ He became angry and then told me to say, ‘O Lord, You have undertaken to provide me sustenance and the sustenance of every walking being, O the best to beg from, O the best provider, O the best to plead to, O the best hope, do for me so and so’ . . . m

أَبْطَأَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ص عَنْهُ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا أَبْطَأَ بِكَ عَنَّا فَقَالَ السُّقْمُ وَ الْفَقْرُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَ فَلَا أُعَلِّمُكَ دُعَاءً يَذْهَبُ اللَّهُ عَنْكَ بِالسُّقْمِ وَ الْفَقْرِ قَالَ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ قُلْ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ تَوَكَّلْتُ‌ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لا يَمُوتُ‌ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّه

“Once one of the companions of the Holy Prophet delayed and when he came, the Messenger of Allah asked, ‘What caused you to delay?’ He replied, ‘Illness and poverty.’ He then said, ‘Should I teach you a supplication with which Allah will remove illness and poverty from you?’ He said, ‘Yes, O the Messenger of Allah, ple

ادْعُ فِي طَلَبِ الرِّزْقِ فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ وَ أَنْتَ سَاجِدٌ يَا خَيْرَ الْمَسْئُولِينَ وَ يَا خَيْرَ الْمُعْطِينَ ارْزُقْنِي وَ ارْزُقْ عِيَالِي مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْوَاسِعِ فَإِنَّكَ‌ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ‌.

“When pleading for sustenance in the obligatory prayer during prostration say, ‘O the best to plead to, O the best provider, grant me and my family sustenance from Your vast munificence; You are the Great, the Generous.’”

“Once I complained to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) for (lack of) help and asked him to instruct me with a supplication to plead for sustenance and he instructed me with a supplication and thereafter I did not grow to be needy again. سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‌ نَظَرَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع إِلَى رَجُلٍ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ الْحَلَالِ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ع سَأَلْتَ قُوتَ النَّبِيِّينَ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقاً حَلَالًا وَاسِعاً طَيِّباً مِنْ رِزْقِكَ.

“I heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.) saying, ‘Once abu Ja’far (a.s.) looked upon a man who was saying, “O Lord, I plead before You for lawful sustenance.” Abu Ja’far (a.s.) said to him, ‘You are asking the sustenance of the prophets, say, “O Lord, I plead before You for lawful sustenance from You that is vast and pure.’”

قُلْتُ لِلرِّضَا ع جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَنْ يَرْزُقَنِيَ الْحَلَالَ فَقَالَ أَ تَدْرِي مَا الْحَلَالُ قُلْتُ الَّذِي عِنْدَنَا الْكَسْبُ الطَّيِّبُ فَقَالَ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ع يَقُولُ الْحَلَالُ هُوَ قُوتُ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ ثُمَّ قَالَ قُلْ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ الْوَاسِعِ.

دُعَاءً فِي الرِّزْقِ- يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مَنْ حَقُّهُ عَلَيْكَ عَظِيمٌ- أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَنْ تَرْزُقَنِيَ الْعَمَلَ بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي مِنْ مَعْرِفَةِ حَقِّكَ وَ أَنْ تَبْسُطَ عَلَيَّ مَا حَظَرْتَ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ‌[2].

“O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, I plead before Y ou through those whose right before You is great. Grant al-Salat (favors) upon Muhammad and his family, confer upon me to act according to what You have instructed me of the knowledge of Your right and expand for me the constraint in Your sustenance.’”
