سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الْحَمِيلِ فَقَالَ وَ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ الْحَمِيلُ قَالَ قُلْتُ الْمَرْأَةُ تُسْبَى مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَعَهَا الْوَلَدُ الصَّغِيرُ فَتَقُولُ هَذَا ابْنِي وَ الرَّجُلُ يُسْبَى فَيَلْقَى أَخَاهُ فَيَقُولُ هُوَ أَخِي وَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ بَيِّنَةٌ إِلَّا قَوْلُهُمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ فَمَا يَقُولُ فِيهِمُ النَّاسُ عِنْدَكُمْ قُلْتُ لَا يُوَرِّثُونَهُمْ لِأَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ عَلَى وِلَادَتِهِ
