إِنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ص فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوْصِنِي فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَهَلْ أَنْتَ مُسْتَوْصٍ[1] إِنْ أَنَا أَوْصَيْتُكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثاً وَ فِي كُلِّهَا يَقُولُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَإِنِّي أُوصِيكَ إِذَا أَنْتَ هَمَمْتَ بِأَمْرٍ فَتَدَبَّرْ عَاقِبَتَهُ فَإِنْ يَكُ رُشْداً فَامْضِهِ وَ إِنْ يَكُ غَيّاً فَانْت
Abu Abdullah (asws) having said that: ‘A man came to the Prophet (saww) and said to him (saww), ‘O Rasool Allah (saww), advise me’.
