حَمَلَ نُوحٌ ع فِي السَّفِينَةِ الْأَزْوَاجَ الثَّمَانِيَةَ[1] الَّتِي قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ ثَمانِيَةَ أَزْواجٍ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَيْنِ وَ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ اثْنَيْنِ وَ مِنَ الْبَقَرِ اثْنَيْنِ[2] فَكَانَ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ زَوْجٌ دَاجِنَةٌ يُرَبِّيهَا النَّاسُ[3] وَ الزَّوْجُ الْآخَرُ الضَّأْنُ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي الْجِبَالِ الْوَحْشِيَّةُ أُحِلَّ لَهُمْ صَيْدُهَا وَ مِنَ
Nūḥ (AS) carried in the ark the eight pairs whic Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, mentioned: "Eight pairs—from the sheep, two; and from the goats, two; and from the camels, two; and from the cows, two." (6:143-144) From the sheep, there were two pairs: one was domesticated, raised by people, and the other was wild sheep
