قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَا شِهَابُ يَكْثُرُ الْقَتْلُ فِي أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ حَتَّى يُدْعَى الرَّجُلُ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى الْخِلَافَةِ فَيَأْبَاهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا شِهَابُ وَ لَا تَقُلْ إِنِّي عَنَيْتُ بَنِي عَمِّي[5] هَؤُلَاءِ قَالَ شِهَابٌ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ عَنَاهُمْ.
