وَ رُوِيَ فِي خَبَرٍ آخَرَ أَنَّ مُوسَى ع مَرَّ بِصَفَائِحِ الرَّوْحَاءِ عَلَى جَمَلٍ أَحْمَرَ خِطَامُهُ مِنْ لِيفٍ عَلَيْهِ عَبَاءَتَانِ قَطَوَانِيَّتَانِ وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ- لَبَّيْكَ يَا كَرِيمُ‌

Hadith.2284 - It has been narrated in another report: "Musa (as) passed through Al-Rawha' riding a red camel with a bridle made of palm fiber. يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَأَيْتُكَ رَفَعْتَ رَأْسَكَ وَ تَبَسَّمْتَ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أَصْبَغُ أَمْسَكْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص كَمَا أَمْسَكْتَ لِي فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَ تَبَسَّمَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي وَ سَأُخْبِرُكَ كَمَا أَخْبَرَنِي أَمْسَكْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص الشَّهْبَاءَ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَ تَبَسَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَفَعْتَ رَأْسَكَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَ

Hadith.2419 - It is narrated from al-Asbagh ibn Nubata that he said: "I held the stirrup for Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) as he intended to mount. وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ‌ مَنْ خَالَطْتَ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ يَكُونَ يَدُكَ الْعُلْيَا عَلَيْهِ‌[1] فَافْعَلْ.

"Whoever you associate with, if you are able to ensure that your hand is above theirs (in generosity and giving), then do so."

لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَدْ عَرَفْتَ‌ حَالِي وَ سَعَةَ يَدِي وَ تَوْسِيعِي عَلَى إِخْوَانِي فَأَصْحَبُ النَّفَرَ مِنْهُمْ فِي طَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ فَأُوَسِّعُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ لَا تَفْعَلْ يَا شِهَابُ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ بَسَطْتَ وَ بَسَطُوا أَجْحَفْتَ بِهِمْ‌[1] وَ إِنْ هُمْ أَمْسَكُوا أَذْلَلْتَهُمْ فَاصْحَبْ نُظَرَاءَكَ اصْحَبْ نُظَرَاءَكَ‌[2].

Hadith.2441 - Shihab ibn Abd Rabbih narrated: I said to Abu Abdullah (as): "You know my situation, my financial capacity, and how I spend generously on my brothers. لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ إِذَا سَافَرْتَ مَعَ قَوْمٍ فَأَكْثِرِ اسْتِشَارَتَهُمْ فِي أَمْرِكَ وَ أُمُورِهِمْ وَ أَكْثَرِ التَّبَسُّمَ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ وَ كُنْ كَرِيماً عَلَى زَادِكَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَ إِذَا دَعَوْكَ فَأَجِبْهُمْ وَ إِذَا اسْتَعَانُوا بِكَ فَأَعِنْهُمْ وَ اسْتَعْمِلْ طُولَ الصَّمْتِ وَ كَثْرَةَ الصَّلَاةِ وَ سَخَاءَ النَّفْسِ بِمَا مَعَكَ-

أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى بَعْضِ أَنْبِيَائِهِ ع لِلْكَرِيمِ فَكَارِمْ[5] وَ لِلسَّمْحِ فَسَامِحْ وَ لِلشَّحِيحِ فَشَاحِحْ وَ عِنْدَ الشَّكِسِ فَالْتَوِ[1].

الشَّجَاعَةُ فِي أَهْلِ خُرَاسَانَ وَ الْبَاهُ فِي أَهْلِ بَرْبَرَ[5] وَ السَّخَاءُ وَ الْحَسَدُ فِي الْعَرَبِ فَتَخَيَّرُوا لِنُطَفِكُمْ.

"Bravery is found among the people of Khurasan, physical vigor among the people of Barbar, and generosity and envy among the Arabs. Therefore, choose carefully where you place your seed."

مَتِّعُوهُنَّ أَيْ جَمِّلُوهُنَ‌[1] بِمَا قَدَرْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ مَعْرُوفٍ فَإِنَّهُنَّ يَرْجِعْنَ بِكَآبَةٍ وَ وَحْشَةٍ وَ هَمٍّ عَظِيمٍ وَ شَمَاتَةٍ مِنْ أَعْدَائِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ كَرِيمٌ يَسْتَحْيِي وَ يُحِبُّ أَهْلَ الْحَيَاءِ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ أَشَدُّكُمْ إِكْرَاماً لِحَلَائِلِهِمْ.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى خَصَّ رَسُولَهُ ص بِمَكَارِمِ الْأَخْلَاقِ فَامْتَحِنُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ‌ فِيكُمْ فَاحْمَدُوا اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ ارْغَبُوا إِلَيْهِ فِي الزِّيَادَةِ مِنْهَا فَذَكَرَهَا عَشَرَةً الْيَقِينَ وَ الْقَنَاعَةَ وَ الصَّبْرَ وَ الشُّكْرَ وَ الْحِلْمَ وَ حُسْنَ الْخُلُقِ وَ السَّخَاءَ وَ الْغَيْرَةَ وَ الشَّجَاعَةَ وَ الْمُرُوءَةَ.

قِيلَ لَهُ مَا بَالُ الْمُؤْمِنِ أَحَدَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ[1] فَقَالَ لِأَنَّ عِزَّ الْقُرْآنِ فِي قَلْبِهِ وَ مَحْضَ الْإِيمَانِ فِي صَدْرِهِ وَ هُوَ عَبْدٌ مُطِيعٌ لِلَّهِ وَ لِرَسُولِهِ مُصَدِّقٌ قِيلَ لَهُ فَمَا بَالُ الْمُؤْمِنِ قَدْ يَكُونُ أَشَحَّ شَيْ‌ءٍ قَالَ لِأَنَّهُ يَكْسِبُ الرِّزْقَ مِنْ حِلِّهِ وَ مَطْلَبُ الْحَلَالِ عَزِيزٌ[2] فَلَا يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُفَارِقَهُ شَيْئُهُ‌[3] لِمَا يَعْلَمُ مِنْ عِزِّ مَطْلَبِهِ وَ إ

وَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ لِابْنِهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ‌ يَا بُنَيَّ إِيَّاكَ وَ الِاتِّكَالَ عَلَى الْأَمَانِيِّ فَإِنَّهَا بَضَائِعُ النَّوْكَى‌[3] وَ تَثْبِيطٌ عَنِ‌ الْآخِرَةِ وَ مِنْ خَيْرِ حَظِّ الْمَرْءِ قَرِينٌ صَالِحٌ جَالِسْ أَهْلَ الْخَيْرِ تَكُنْ مِنْهُمْ بَايِنْ أَهْلَ الشَّرِّ وَ مَنْ يَصُدُّكَ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ ذِكْرِ الْمَوْتِ

وَ قَالَ ع‌ خَمْسٌ هُنَّ كَمَا أَقُولُ لَيْسَتْ لِبَخِيلٍ رَاحَةٌ وَ لَا لِحَسُودٍ لَذَّةٌ وَ لَا لِلْمَمْلُوكِ وَفَاءٌ[3] وَ لَا لِكَذُوبٍ مُرُوءَةٌ وَ لَا يَسُودُ سَفِيهٌ‌[4].

Hadith.5838 - Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Five things are exactly as I say: A miser will never find comfort, A jealous person will never experience pleasure, A slave will not have loyalty, A liar will have no honor, And a foolish person will never attain leadership."

أَعْبَدُ النَّاسِ مَنْ أَقَامَ الْفَرَائِضَ‌[8] وَ أَسْخَى النَّاسِ مَنْ أَدَّى‌ زَكَاةَ مَالِهِ وَ أَزْهَدُ النَّاسِ مَنِ اجْتَنَبَ الْحَرَامَ وَ أَتْقَى النَّاسِ مَنْ قَالَ الْحَقَّ فِيمَا لَهُ وَ عَلَيْهِ وَ أَعْدَلُ النَّاسِ مَنْ رَضِيَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا يَرْضَى لِنَفْسِهِ وَ كَرِهَ لَهُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَ أَكْيَسُ النَّاسِ مَنْ كَانَ أَشَدَّ ذِكْراً لِلْمَوْتِ وَ أَغْبَطُ النَّاسِ مَنْ كَانَ تَحْتَ التُّرَ

وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ‌ إِنَّ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بِأَنْ يَتَمَنَّى لِلنَّاسِ الْغِنَى الْبُخَلَاءُ لِأَنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا اسْتَغْنَوْا كَفُّوا عَنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَ إِنَّ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بِأَنْ يَتَمَنَّى لِلنَّاسِ الصَّلَاحَ أَهْلُ الْعُيُوبِ لِأَنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا صَلَحُوا كَفُّوا- عَنْ تَتَبُّعِ عُيُوبِهِمْ وَ إِنَّ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بِأَن

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِعَلِيٍّ ع‌ يَا عَلِيُّ لَا تُشَاوِرَنَّ جَبَاناً فَإِنَّهُ يُضَيِّقُ عَلَيْكَ الْمَخْرَجَ وَ لَا تُشَاوِرَنَّ بَخِيلًا فَإِنَّهُ يَقْصُرُ بِكَ عَنْ غَايَتِك وَ لَا تُشَاوِرَنَّ حَرِيصاً فَإِنَّهُ يُزَيِّنُ لَكَ شَرَهاً وَ اعْلَمْ أَنَّ الْجُبْنَ وَ الْبُخْلَ وَ الْحِرْصَ غَرِيزَةٌ يَجْمَعُهَا سُوءُ الظَّنِّ.

وَ سُئِلَ ع‌ مَا حَدُّ السَّخَاءِ قَالَ تُخْرِجُ مِنْ مَالِكَ الْحَقَّ الَّذِي أَوْجَبَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَيْكَ فَتَضَعُهُ فِي مَوْضِعِهِ‌[1].

Hadith.5898 - Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) was asked: "What is the definition of generosity?" Imam (as) replied: "It is to give from your wealth the rightful dues that Allah (swt), the Almighty, has obligated upon you, and to place it in its appropriate place."

وَ رَوَى صَفْوَانُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ بَكْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع قَالَ‌ الصَّنِيعَةُ[3] لَا تَكُونُ صَنِيعَةً إِلَّا عِنْدَ ذِي حَسَبٍ أَوْ دِينٍ الصَّلَاةُ قُرْبَانُ كُلِّ تَقِيٍ‌[4] الْحَجُّ جِهَادُ كُلِّ ضَعِيفٍ لِكُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ زَكَاةٌ وَ زَكَاةُ الْجَسَدِ الصِّيَامُ جِهَادُ الْمَرْأَةِ حُسْنُ التَّبَعُّلِ اسْتَنْزِلُوا الرِّزْقَ بِال
