الْخَمْرُ مِنْ خَمْسَةِ أَشْيَاءَ مِنَ التَّمْرِ وَ الزَّبِيبِ وَ الْحِنْطَةِ وَ الشَّعِيرِ وَ الْعَسَلِ. - مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ الْجَمَّالِ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ السِّمْطِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع مِثْلَهُ.

Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from Safwan ibn Yahya from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj from Ali ibn Ja‘far ibn Ishaq al-Hashimiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Wine is made of five substances: it is made from grape juice, extracts of raisins, al-Bit ’ (mead) from honey, al-Mizru (beer) from barley and wine from dates.’”
