1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from af-Fadf ibn Shadhan from all Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Intoxicating liquors are made from five kinds of substances: grape juice, extracts of raisins, al-Bit’ (mead) from honey, al-Mizru (beer) from barley and wine from dates.”’
