Hadith.831 - It was narrated from the Yāsir al-Khadim that He said: "Abu al-Hasan (as) passed by me while I was praying on a piece of ṭabarī (a mat) upon which I had placed something. Imam (as) said to me: 'Why do you not prostrate on it? Is it not from what the earth produces?'"

وَ سَأَلَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع- عَنِ الْجِصِّ يُوقَدُ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَذِرَةِ وَ عِظَامِ الْمَوْتَى ثُمَّ يُجَصَّصُ بِهِ الْمَسْجِدُ أَ يُسْجَدُ عَلَيْهِ فَكَتَبَ ع إِلَيْهِ بِخَطِّهِ أَنَّ النَّارَ وَ الْمَاءَ قَدْ طَهَّرَاهُ‌.

Hadith.833 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub asked Imam Abu al-Hasan (as) about gypsum (plaster) that was fired using dung and the bones of the dead, and whether it would be permissible to prostrate on it if a mosque was plastered with it. The Imam wrote back in his own handwriting: "Fire and water have purified it”.

[1]السند صحيح و قال في المدارك: يمكن أن يستدل بها على طهارة ما أحالته النار و وجه الدلالة أن الجص يختلط بالرماد و الدخان الحاصل من تلك الأعيان النجسة و لو لا كونه طاهرا لما ساغ تطهير المسجد به و السجود عليه و الماء غير مؤثر في التطهير إجماعا كما نقله في المعتبر فتعين استناده الى النار، و على هذا فيكون استناد التطهير الى النار حقيقة و الى الماء مجازا، أو يراد به فيهما المعنى المجازى و تكون الطهارة الشرعية مستفاد ممّا علم من الجواب أو ضمنا من جواز تجصيص المسجد به و لا محذور فيه انتهى. و فيه نظر لان الظاهر أن عظام الموتى نجاستها غير معلومة الا أن يراد عظام الكلاب، و العذرة إذا توقد تحت حجر الجص لم تنجسه حتّى تكون النار طهره و دخانها و ان قلنا بنجاسته لم يؤثر في الجص، و لعلّ المراد بتطهير النار احالة العذرة رمادا و كذا العظام النجسة، و يمكن أن يكون المراد بتطهير الماء رفع ما يتوهم فيه من النجاسة كرش المكان بالماء للصلاة كما في بيت المجوسى. و يحتمل أن يكون المراد بقوله عليه السلام« قد طهراه» أي نظفاه. و أمّا قول السائل« أ يسجد عليه» فيمكن أن يكون المراد أ يصلى عليه فلا يلزم منه تجويز السجود على الجص أو حمل جواز السجود على حال الضرورة أو التقية.ص 270
