“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about a woman experiencing Hayd (menses) who takes Ghusl (bath) on Friday and speaks of Allah. He (the Imam) said, ‘Ghusl (bath) is unhelpful but she can take Wudu’ at the time for Salah (prayer), then face the direction of Makkah and speak of Allah.”’
