Refusing to Appreciate a Benevolent Assistance

قَالَ: لَعَنَ اللَّهُ قَاطِعِي سُبُلِ الْمَعْرُوفِ قِيلَ وَ مَا قَاطِعُو سُبُلِ الْمَعْرُوفِ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ يُصْنَعُ إِلَيْهِ الْمَعْرُوفُ فَيَكْفُرُهُ فَيَمْتَنِعُ صَاحِبُهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ.

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Allah has condemned those who block the path to Benevolent Assistance, and it then was asked, ’Who are such people?’ The Imam replied, ’They are those who receive Benevolent Assistance but refuse to appreciate and thus stop the provider of Benevolent Assistance from providing such

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَنْ أُتِيَ إِلَيْهِ مَعْرُوفٌ فَلْيُكَافِئْ بِهِ فَإِنْ عَجَزَ فَلْيُثْنِ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ النِّعْمَةَ.
