لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِمَكَّةَ سَنَةً قُلْتُ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ قَالَ يَتَحَوَّلُ عَنْهَا وَ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَرْفَعَ بِنَاءً فَوْقَ الْكَعْبَةِ[1]. - وَ رُوِيَ‌ أَنَّ الْمُقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ يُقْسِي الْقُلُوبَ.

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not proper for a man to stay in Makkah for one year.’ I then asked, ‘What should he do?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘He must move out, and it is not proper for anyone to build anything higher than al-Ka‘bah.’” It is narrated that staying in Makkah hardens (removes good feelings from) one’s

إِذَا فَرَغْتَ مِنْ نُسُكِكَ فَارْجِعْ فَإِنَّهُ أَشْوَقُ لَكَ إِلَى الرُّجُوعِ‌[2].

When you complete your nusuk (acts of ‘Umrah and or Hajj) go back; it leaves you with more desire to return to Makkah.’”
