The Hide of the Offering Animals

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَنْ يُعْطَى الْجَزَّارُ مِنْ جُلُودِ الْهَدْيِ وَ أَجْلَالِهَا شَيْئاً[3].

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited giving of the hide, collar and covering of offering animals to the butchers.”

يُنْتَفَعُ بِجِلْدِ الْأُضْحِيَّةِ وَ يُشْتَرَى بِهِ الْمَتَاعُ وَ إِنْ تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ فَهُوَ أَفْضَلُ وَ قَالَ نَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص بَدَنَةً وَ لَمْ يُعْطِ الْجَزَّارِينَ جُلُودَهَا وَ لَا قَلَائِدَهَا وَ لَا جِلَالَهَا وَ لَكِنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ وَ لَا تُعْطِ السَّلَّاخَ مِنْهَا شَيْئاً وَ لَكِنْ أَعْطِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ ذَلِكَ.

In the narration of Mu’awiyah ibn ‘Ammar from abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, it is said that the hide of animal for offering can be used for beneficial purposes or purchase thereby goods, but to give them as charity is better.
