سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ع عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَقُولُ لِامْرَأَتِهِ أَنْتِ مِنِّي خَلِيَّةٌ أَوْ بَرِيئَةٌ أَوْ بَتَّةٌ أَوْ حَرَامٌ قَالَ لَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ[1].
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of a man who says to his wife, ’You from my side are free, cleared and severed’ or ‘you are unlawful.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It does not have any valid effect.’”
