قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَنْ شَرِبَ الْمُسْكِرَ حَتَّى يَفْنَى عُمُرُهُ كَانَ كَمَنْ عَبَدَ الْأَوْثَانَ وَ مَنْ تَرَكَ مُسْكِراً مَخَافَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَ سَقَاهُ مِنَ الرَّحِيقِ الْمَخْتُومِ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one drinks intoxicating liquor until his life ends he is like an idol worshipper. If one quits drinking intoxicating liquor for fear of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, He will admit him in the garden (paradises) and give him drinks from exquisite, sealed nectar (containers).’”
