كُلُّ عَصِيرٍ أَصَابَتْهُ النَّارُ فَهُوَ حَرَامٌ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُهُ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Any juice (grape juice) which fire has touched is unlawful to use until two-thirds of it is evaporated and only one-third has remained.’”
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الْعَصِيرِ يُطْبَخُ بِالنَّارِ حَتَّى يَغْلِيَ مِنْ سَاعَتِهِ فَيَشْرَبُهُ صَاحِبُهُ قَالَ إِذَا تَغَيَّرَ عَنْ حَالِهِ وَ غَلَى فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ ثُلُثَاهُ وَ يَبْقَى ثُلُثُهُ.
about grape juice which is cooked on fire until it boils for one hour; then the owner drinks it. He (the Imam) said, ‘If it changes and boils, it then becomes devoid of goodness until two-thirds of it is evaporated and only one-third has remained.’”
