لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَدْ عَرَفْتَنِي بِعَمَلِي‌[2] تَأْتِينِي الْمَرْأَةُ أَعْرِفُهَا بِإِسْلَامِهَا وَ حُبِّهَا إِيَّاكُمْ وَ وَلَايَتِهَا لَكُمْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مَحْرَمٌ قَالَ إِذَا جَاءَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمُسْلِمَةُ فَاحْمِلْهَا[3] فَإِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ مَحْرَمُ الْمُؤْمِنَةِ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَ الْمُؤْمِناتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِياءُ بَعْضٍ‌.

I said to Abu Abdullah (as): "You know my profession. A woman comes to me, and I know her to be Muslim, to love you, and to hold your guardianship (wilayah), but she has no mahram (close male relative)."
