Chapter on the Virtue of Marriage

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَا يَمْنَعُ الْمُؤْمِنَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ أَهْلًا لَعَلَّ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَرْزُقَهُ نَسَمَةً تُثْقِلُ الْأَرْضَ بِلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ.

سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‌ ثَلَاثٌ‌ مِنْ سُنَنِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ الْعِطْرُ وَ إِحْفَاءُ الشَّعْرِ[1] وَ كَثْرَةُ الطَّرُوقَةِ.

Hadith.4341 - It is narrated from Mu'ammar ibn Khallad that Imam Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha (as) said: "Three practices are from the traditions of the messengers, using perfume, removing excess hair, and frequently visiting one's wife (or wives)."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَنْ تَزَوَّجَ أَحْرَزَ نِصْفَ دِينِهِ. وَ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ فِي النِّصْفِ الْبَاقِي.

Hadith.4342 - It is narrated from al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Hamzah, from Abu Abdillah (as), that the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever gets married has safeguarded half of his religion." In another narration, it is added: "So let him fear Allah (swt) regarding the remaining half.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَا بُنِيَ بِنَاءٌ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنَ التَّزْوِيجِ.

Hadith.4343 - Abdullah ibn al-Hakam narrated from Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) that the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) said: "No structure in Islam is more beloved to Allah (swt), the Exalted, than marriage."

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ: تَزَوَّجُوا فَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمُ الْأُمَمَ غَداً فِي الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى إِنَّ السِّقْطَ لَيَجِي‌ءُ مُحْبَنْطِئاً[3] عَلَى بَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ فَيَقُولُ لَا حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ أَبَوَايَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلِي.
