سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ لِلْمُوصِي أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ إِنْ كَانَ فِي صِحَّةٍ أَوْ مَرَضٍ[3].
I heard Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) say: "The one making a will has the right to revoke it, whether he is in good health or ill."

"The Commander of the Faithful (as) ruled that the manumitted slave (Al-mudabbar) is to be freed from one-third of the estate. A man has the right to revoke his will, to add to it or reduce from it, as long as he has not passed away."
قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ع لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يُغَيِّرَ مِنْ وَصِيَّتِهِ فَيُعْتِقَ مَنْ كَانَ أَمَرَ بِتَمْلِيكِهِ وَ يُمَلِّكَ مَنْ كَانَ أَمَرَ بِعِتْقِهِ وَ يُعْطِيَ مَنْ كَانَ حَرَمَهُ وَ يَحْرِمَ مَنْ كَانَ أَعْطَاهُ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ رَجَعَ عَنْهُ[5].
