Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hisham ibn Salim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, says, ‘One who is occupied in speaking of Me instead of asking Me for help, I will grant him better than what 1 am to grant to one who asks Me for help.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Hisham ibn Salim from Sawrah ibn Kulayb who has said the following: “I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman experiencing Hayd (menses) if she must wash her clothes which she has used during her Hayd (menses). He (the Imam) said, ‘She must wash only what has come in contact with blood, and leave the rest alone I then said, ‘What happens if she perspires?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Perspiration is not of Hayd (menses).’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who experiences a wet dream during the night in the month of Ramadan or has sexual intercourse with his wife; then goes to sleep intentionally in the month of Ramadan until the morning. He (the Imam) said, ‘He is required to complete that fast and make its Qada’ (compensatory fast) if he invalidates the fast of the month of Ramadan. He must ask his Lord for forgiveness.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Jamil ibn Darraj from certain persons of our people who has said the following: “There is the case of a man who divorces a girl who is not mature yet and the like of whom cannot become pregnant, but he has gone to bed with her and a woman after menopause when women of her condition cannot give birth. One of the two Imam, (abu Ja‘far or abu ‘ Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ‘There is no waiting period for them.’” Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Hadid from Jamil ibn Darraj from certain persons of our people a similar Hadith.

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Humayd ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad all of them from ibn Mahbub from Ali ibn Ri’ab from abu Basir who has narrated the following: “I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about certain issues of ordained shares of inheritance. He (the Imam) said, ’Do you like if I show you the book of Ali (a.s.) ?’ I said, ‘But the book of Ali (a.s.), is no longer studied.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘O abu Muhammad, how can you say that the book of Ali (a.s.), is no longer studied?’ He (the Imam) brought it out and it was a magnificent book. I saw in it this case, ‘A man dies and leaves behind his paternal and maternal uncles.’ It said, ‘The paternal uncle receives two-thirds and the maternal uncle receives one- third.’”

A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Isma’Il from Mansur ibn Yunus from Harun ibn Kharijah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “A servant (of Allah) may need help from Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, and he begins to praise Allah and ask from Allah al-Salat (favors) for the Holy Prophet and his family until he forgets to ask for help but Allah, without his asking, grants him the help that he was to ask for.”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from al-‘Ala’ ibn Razin from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following: “I once asked one of the two Imam, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, about a man who approaches the slave-girl in the month of Ramadan; then goes to sleep without Ghusl (bath). He (the Imam) said, ‘He is required to complete that fast and fast its Qada’ (compensatory fast), unless he wakes up before dawn and waits to warm up the water or looks for water but it becomes dawn then there is no Qada’ (compensatory fast) upon him.’”

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl from abu Hamzah who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about the case of a man to whom another person owes a loan and a third person buys the loan from the creditor to collect it from the debtor. The collector demands the debtor for payment; and (what is the Imam’s) judgment in this issue. Abu Ja’far (a.s.), made a pronouncement that said, The debtor can pay to the collector what he (the collector) has paid to the creditor.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from virtuous servant (of Allah) who has said the following: “Once a mother of the child of his father asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), saying, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, I like to ask you a question but I feel shy. He (the Imam) said, ‘Ask and do not feel shy.’ She said, ‘My clothes have come in contact with blood of Hayd (menses) and I wash them, but its marks do not go away. He (the Imam) said, ‘Dye them with Mishq (a kind of dye) to mix its color and it will go away.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who experiences sexual relation (because of which Ghusl (bath) is obligatory); then goes to sleep until the morning, if he can fast that day an optional fast. He (the Imam) said, ‘Up till midday it is up to his choosing.’ I then asked about a man who experiences wet dream during the day in the month of Ramadan; if he completes his fast as it is. He (the Imam) said, ‘It (completing) is not harmful.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya and others have narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn al- Fudayl who has said the following: “I once asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about the case of a man who buys a loan to collect it from the debtor and demands the debtor for payment. He (the Imam) said, The debtor pays what the collector has paid to the creditor and in so doing becomes free of the responsibility of paying all that was due on him.’”

Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Hajjal from ibn Sinan who has said the following: “My father, once, when doing Qada’ (compensatory fast) of the fast of the month of Ramadan, wrote to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and asked, ‘I, up till the morning, had Ghusl (bath); then experienced sexual relation (because of which Ghusl (bath) is obligatory) and I did not do Ghusl (bath) until it was dawn. He (the Imam) said, ‘Do not fast that day, fast the next day.’”

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from ibn abu Najran from Safwan from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj aj who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Three kinds of women can marry in all conditions: a woman who does not experience Hayd (menses) and alike whom women do not experience Hayd (menses).’ He (the narrator) has said that I then asked, ‘What is her limit?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘One who is less than nine years, one with whom he has not gone to bed and one after menopause and whose like do not experience Hayd (menses).’ I then asked, ‘What is the limit?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is when she becomes fifty years old.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has narrated the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who dies and leaves behind a maternal uncle, maternal aunt, paternal uncle, paternal aunt, his son, his daughter, his brother and sister. He (the Imam) said, ‘All of them inherit and protect. When there are the paternal aunt and maternal uncle, then the paternal aunt receives two-thirds and the maternal uncle receives one-third of the legacy.’”
