1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from al-Muthanna’ ibn al-Walid from Zurarah from who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah said seventy Salah (prayers) for Hamzah.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Abu ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabi who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) said five takbirs over Sahl ibn Hunayf who was a Badri, (participant in the battle of Badr). He (Imam 'Ali) then walked for a while, then placed him on the ground and said another five Takbir and so on until he had said twenty five Takbir.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn abu Hamzah from abu Basir from who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah in Salah (prayer) for Hamzah said seventy Takbir and ’Amir al-Mu’minin) Ali said twenty five Takbir in Salah (prayer) for Sahl ibn Hunayf. He (the Imam) said, ‘Each time ’Amir al-Mu’minin said five Takbir as new people arrived saying that we did not have a chance to attend Salah (prayer) for him so ’Amir al-Mu’minin would ask to place him on the ground and he (the Imam) say five Takbir until he arrived to his grave.’”

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from ‘Umar ibn Aban al-Kalbiy from Maysarah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman whom I meet in the wilderness and I ask her if she has a husband and she says, ‘No; I do not have a husband’ if I can marry her. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, her words about herself are accepted as true.’”

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Flammad ibn ‘Uthaman from al-FIalabiy who has said the following: “About the case of a woman’s second marriage if she can propose for marriage, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘She has more control over her affairs and she can appoint someone to act as her guardian if the man is a proper match and it is her second marriage.’”

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-‘Abdiy from ‘Ubayd ibn Zurarah who has said the following: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a slave- girl who belongs to me and an heir (one who has a share in her price as part of his legacy) with me. We set her free. She has a brother who is absent and she is virgin; if it is permissible for me to marry her or it is not permissible without the permission of her brother. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is permissible for you to marry.’ I then asked, ‘Can I marry her if I wanted?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so.’”
