كَتَبَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى الرِّضَا ع إِلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ فِيمَا كَتَبَ مِنْ جَوَابِ مَسَائِلِهِ‌ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ قَتْلَ النَّفْسِ لِعِلَّةِ فَسَادِ الْخَلْقِ فِي تَحْلِيلِهِ لَوْ أَحَلَّ وَ فَنَائِهِمْ وَ فَسَادِ التَّدْبِيرِ وَ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى عُقُوقَ الْوَالِدَيْنِ لِمَا فِيهِ مِنَ الْخُرُوجِ مِنَ التَّوْقِيرِ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ التَّوْقِيرِ لِلْوَالِدَيْنِ وَ كُفْرَانِ النِّع

Hadith.4934 - Imam Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha (as) wrote to Muhammad ibn Sinan in response to his questions: "Allah (swt) has forbidden the killing of a soul because of the corruption it would cause among creation if it were permitted, leading to their annihilation and the disruption of order. سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ع يَقُولُ‌ مَنْ آمَنَ رَجُلًا عَلَى دَمِهِ- ثُمَّ قَتَلَهُ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَحْمِلُ لِوَاءَ الْغَدْرِ.

I heard Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) say: "Whoever grants a man safety over his life and then kills him will come on the Day of Judgment carrying the banner of treachery."

سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ‌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى أَوْعَدَ فِي أَكْلِ مَالِ الْيَتِيمِ عُقُوبَتَيْنِ أَمَّا إِحْدَاهُمَا فَعُقُوبَةُ الْآخِرَةِ بِالنَّارِ[4] وَ أَمَّا عُقُوبَةُ الدُّنْيَا فَهُوَ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- وَ لْيَخْشَ الَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُوا مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعافاً خافُوا عَلَيْهِمْ‌ فَلْيَتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَ لْيَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيداً يَعْنِي بِذَلِكَ لِيَخْشَ أَنْ أَخْلُفَهُ فِي ذُر

I heard Imam (as) say: "Indeed, Allah (swt), Blessed and Exalted, has promised two punishments for consuming the wealth of an orphan. One is the punishment in the Hereafter, which is the Fire, and the other is the punishment in this world, as stated by Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic: 'And let those fear (Allah (s

لِلزَّانِي سِتُّ خِصَالٍ ثَلَاثٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ ثَلَاثٌ فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَأَمَّا الَّتِي فِي الدُّنْيَا فَإِنَّهُ يَذْهَبُ بِنُورِ الْوَجْهِ وَ يُورِثُ الْفَقْرَ وَ يُعَجِّلُ الْفَنَاءَ وَ أَمَّا الَّتِي فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَسَخَطُ الرَّبِّ وَ سُوءُ الْحِسَابِ وَ الْخُلُودُ فِي النَّارِ[4].

Hadith.4960 - In the narration of Abdullah ibn Maymun from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), from his father, Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), from his forefathers (peace be upon them), it is reported that Imam (as) said: "The adulterer has six traits, three in this world and three in the Hereafte

أَ لَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الزِّنَا[6] قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ هِيَ‌

"Indeed, Commander of the Faithful (as) said: 'Shall I not inform you of the gravest form of adultery?' They said: 'Yes.' Imam (as) said: 'It is when a woman brings another man onto her husband's bed and bears a child from him, then attributes that child to her husband. That woman is the one whom Allah (swt) will neith

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص عَنِ الْأَكْلِ عَلَى الْجَنَابَةِ[3] وَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ يُورِثُ الْفَقْرَ وَ نَهَى عَنْ تَقْلِيمِ‌ الْأَظْفَارِ بِالْأَسْنَانِ وَ عَنِ السِّوَاكِ فِي الْحَمَّامِ وَ التَّنَخُّعِ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ وَ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ سُؤْرِ الْفَأْرَةِ وَ قَالَ لَا تَجْعَلُوا الْمَسَاجِدَ طُرُقاً حَتَّى تُصَلُّوا فِيهَا رَكْعَتَيْنِ‌[1] وَ نَهَى أَنْ يَبُولَ أَحَدٌ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ مُثْمِرَةٍ[2] أَوْ عَلَى قَارِعَ

"The Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) forbade eating while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah)" and said: "It leads to poverty." He (sw) also forbade trimming the nails with teeth, using the miswak (tooth-stick) in the bathhouse, and spitting in the mosques. He (sw) forbade eating (

وَ صَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الْمِنْبَرَ فَقَالَ: ثَلَاثَةٌ لا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ وَ لا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ‌ ... وَ لا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَ لَهُمْ عَذابٌ أَلِيمٌ‌ شَيْخٌ زَانٍ وَ مَلِكٌ جَبَّارٌ وَ مُقِلٌّ مُخْتَالٌ‌[2].

ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَ لَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ الشَّيْخُ الزَّانِي وَ الدَّيُّوثُ وَ الْمَرْأَةُ تُوطِئُ فِرَاشَ زَوْجِهَا[3].

اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى لَا أُنِيلُ رَحْمَتِي مَنْ يُعَرِّضُنِي لِلْأَيْمَانِ الْكَاذِبَةِ وَ لَا أُدْنِي مِنِّي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ كَانَ زَانِياً.

"I read in some books that Allah (swt), the Blessed and Exalted, said: 'I will not grant My (swt) mercy to the one who exposes Me (swt) to false oaths, nor will I bring near to Me (swt) on the Day of Judgment the one who was an adulterer.'"

وَ إِنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتْ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع‌[1] فَقَالَتْ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ فَطَهِّرْنِي طَهَّرَكَ اللَّهُ فَإِنَّ عَذَابَ الدُّنْيَا أَيْسَرُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْآخِرَةِ الَّذِي لَا يَنْقَطِعُ فَقَالَ مِمَّ أُطَهِّرُكِ قَالَتْ مِنَ الزِّنَا فَقَالَ لَهَا فَذَاتُ بَعْلٍ أَنْتِ أَمْ غَيْرُ ذَاتِ بَعْلٍ فَقَالَتْ ذَاتُ بَعْلٍ فَقَالَ لَهَا فَحَاضِراً كَانَ بَعْلُكِ أَمْ غَائِباً قَالَتْ حَاض

Hadith.5018 - A woman came to the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as), and said: "O' Commander of the Faithful, I have committed adultery, so purify me. May Allah (swt) purify you, for the punishment in this world is lighter than the punishment in the Hereafter, which never ends." Imam Ali ibn Abi Ta

إِنْ تَابَ فَمَا عَلَيْهِ شَيْ‌ءٌ وَ إِنْ وَقَعَ فِي يَدِ الْإِمَامِ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ أَقَامَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ وَ إِنْ عَلِمَ مَكَانَهُ بَعَثَ إِلَيْهِ‌[1].

Hadith.5026 - Abu Basir narrated from Imam Abu Abdullah (as) that he was asked about a man against whom evidence was established that he had committed adultery, but then he escaped. رُوِيَ‌ أَنَّهُ دَنَا مِنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع صَبِيَّانِ بِيَدِهِمَا لَوْحَانِ فَقَالا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ خَايِرْ بَيْنَنَا قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع إِنَّ الْجَوْرَ فِي هَذَا كَالْجَوْرِ فِي الْأَحْكَامِ أَبْلِغَا مُؤَدِّبَكُمَا عَنِّي أَنَّهُ إِنْ ضَرَبَكُمَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ كَانَ ذَلِكَ قِصَاصاً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ[3].

Hadith.5137 - It has been narrated that two boys approached Commander of the Faithful (as) holding their wooden tablets and said: "O' Commander of the Faithful, judge between us." يَجِي‌ءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَجُلٍ حَتَّى يُلَطِّخَهُ بِالدَّمِ وَ النَّاسُ فِي الْحِسَابِ فَيَقُولُ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ مَا لِي وَ لَكَ فَيَقُولُ أَعَنْتَ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ كَذَا وَ كَذَا بِكَلِمَةٍ فَقُتِلْتُ‌[2].

"On the Day of Judgment, a man will approach another man and smear him with blood while the people are being held accountable. The (other) man will say, 'O' servant of Allah (swt), what do I have to do with you?' The man will reply: 'Did you not assist in my killing on such and such a day with a single word, and thus I

مَنْ أَعَانَ عَلَى مُؤْمِنٍ بِشَطْرِ كَلِمَةٍ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ مَكْتُوبٌ آيِسٌ مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ‌[2].

"Whoever assists in harming a believer with even half a word will come on the Day of Judgment with the words 'Despairing of the mercy of Allah (swt)' written between his eyes."

قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : "وُجِدَ فِي ذُؤَابَةِ سَيْفِ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ صَحِيفَةٌ فَإِذَا فِيهَا مَكْتُوبٌ " "بِسْمِ اَللّٰهِ اَلرَّحْمٰنِ اَلرَّحِيمِ" إِنَّ أَعْتَى اَلنَّاسِ عَلَى اَللَّهِ يَوْمَ اَلْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ قَتَلَ غَيْرَ قَاتِلِهِ وَ ضَرَبَ غَيْرَ ضَارِبِهِ وَ مَنْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ فَهُوَ كَافِرٌ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اَللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ

Abu Abdullah (as) said to me: "A scroll was found in the hilt of the sword of Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family), and it was written in it: In the Name of Allah (swt), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verily, the most defiant of people against Allah (swt) on the Day of Judgment is the one

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ أَوَّلُ مَا يَحْكُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِيهِ- يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الدِّمَاءُ فَيُوقَفُ ابْنَا آدَمَ ع فَيُفْصَلُ بَيْنَهُمَا ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الدِّمَاءِ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ الْمَقْتُولُ بِقَاتِلِهِ فَيَشْخُبَ دَمُهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ‌[3] فَيَقُولُ أَنْتَ قَتَلْتَهُ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَكْتُمَ اللَّهَ حَد

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ع خَالِدَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ إِلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَأَصَابَ بِهَا دِمَاءَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ وَ النَّصَارَى وَ الْمَجُوسِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ دِمَاءَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ وَ النَّصَارَى فَوَدَيْتُهُمْ ثَمَانَمِائَةٍ ثَمَانَمِائَةٍ[3] وَ أَصَبْتُ دِمَاءَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الْمَجُوسِ وَ لَمْ تَكُنْ عَهِدْتَ إِلَيَّ فِيهِمْ عَهْداً قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِنّ

Hadith.5250 - Ibn Abi Umayr narrated from Samaah ibn Mihran who reported from Abu Abdullah (as) that the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) sent Khalid ibn Al-Walid to Bahrain, where he was involved in shedding the blood of some Jews, Christians, and Magians. مَنْ عَدَلَ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ كَانَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ مَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهَا فِي حَيَاتِهِ وَ مَنْ جَارَ فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ هُوَ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضٌ.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْسِنْ وَصِيَّتَهُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ كَانَ‌ نَقْصاً فِي مُرُوءَتِهِ وَ عَقْلِهِ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَ كَيْفَ يُوصِي الْمَيِّتُ قَالَ إِذَا حَضَرَتْهُ وَفَاتُهُ وَ اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ- اللَّهُمَّ فاطِرَ السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ عالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهادَةِ الرَّحْمَنَ الرَّحِيمَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعْهَدُ إِلَيْكَ فِي دَارِ الدُّنْيَا[1] أَنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنْ

The Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever does not make a proper will at the time of death, it is a deficiency in his dignity and intellect." It was asked: "O' Messenger of Allah (swt), how does a dying person make a will?" Prophet (sw) replied: "When his death approaches and people

إِذَا بُعِثَ بِهَا إِلَيْهِ مِنْ بَلَدٍ فَلَيْسَ لَهُ رَدُّهَا وَ إِنْ كَانَ فِي مِصْرٍ يُوجَدُ فِيهِ غَيْرُهُ فَذَاكَ إِلَيْهِ.

Hadith.5446 - Ribʿi narrated from Al-Fuḍayl ibn Yasar from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) regarding a man who is appointed as an executor. وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ السِّنْدِيِّ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ‌ أَوْصَى أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ع بِهَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةِ هَذَا مَا تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ مُوسَى بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ع تَصَدَّقَ بِأَرْضِهِ فِي مَكَانِ كَذَا وَ كَذَا كُلِّهَا وَ حَدُّ الْأَرْضِ‌

Abu Al-Hasan Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) made this endowment: "This is what Musa ibn Jafar (as) has endowed. He (as) has endowed all His (as) land in such and such a place. The boundary of the land is such and such. He (as) has endowed all of it, including its palm trees, land, water channels, water, mills, righ

لَهُ‌ يَا عَلِيُّ أُوصِيكَ بِوَصِيَّةٍ فَاحْفَظْهَا فَلَا تَزَالُ بِخَيْرٍ مَا حَفِظْتَ وَصِيَّتِي يَا عَلِيُّ مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظاً وَ هُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى إِمْضَائِهِ أَعْقَبَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَمْناً وَ إِيمَاناً يَجِدُ طَعْمَهُ يَا عَلِيُّ مَنْ لَمْ يُحْسِنْ وَصِيَّتَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ كَانَ نَقْصاً فِي مُرُوءَتِهِ وَ لَمْ يَمْلِكِ‌ الشَّفَاعَةَ[1] يَا عَلِيُّ أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ مَنْ أَصْبَحَ لَا يَهُم

أَعْجَلُ الشَّرِّ عُقُوبَةً الْبَغْيُ.

Hadith.5802 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The quickest evil to be punished is oppression." (by Allah (swt) in the Hereafter)

أَسْرَعُ الْخَيْرِ ثَوَاباً الْبِرُّ[5].

Hadith.5803 - The Prophet (sw) said; "The fastest good to be rewarded is righteousness." (by Allah (swt) in the Hereafter)

مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمْ لَا يُرْحَمْ.

Hadith.5810 - The Prophet (sw) said; "Whoever does not show mercy (to others) will not be shown mercy (by Allah (swt) in the Hereafter)."

حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قِرَاءَةً قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْمُعَلَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ الْمُرَادِيُّ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ ع قَالَ‌ بَيْنَا أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ جَالِسٌ مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ يُعَبِّيهِمْ لِلْحَ

Al-Hasan ibn Al-Qasim recited to me, saying: Ali ibn Ibrahim ibn Al-Mualla narrated to us, who said: Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Khalid narrated to us, who said: Abdullah ibn Bakr Al-Muradi narrated from Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as), from his father Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq, from his grandfather Imam Muhamm

وَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فِي وَصِيَّتِهِ لِابْنِهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ‌ يَا بُنَيَّ إِيَّاكَ وَ الِاتِّكَالَ عَلَى الْأَمَانِيِّ فَإِنَّهَا بَضَائِعُ النَّوْكَى‌[3] وَ تَثْبِيطٌ عَنِ‌ الْآخِرَةِ وَ مِنْ خَيْرِ حَظِّ الْمَرْءِ قَرِينٌ صَالِحٌ جَالِسْ أَهْلَ الْخَيْرِ تَكُنْ مِنْهُمْ بَايِنْ أَهْلَ الشَّرِّ وَ مَنْ يَصُدُّكَ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ ذِكْرِ الْمَوْتِ

Hadith.5834 - The Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him, said in his will to his son Muhammad ibn Al-Hanafiyyah, may Allah (swt) be pleased with him: "O' my son, beware of relying on vain hopes, for they are the merchandise of the foolish and a hindrance from the Hereafter. قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع‌ كَانَتِ الْفُقَهَاءُ وَ الْحُكَمَاءُ إِذَا كَاتَبَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضاً كَتَبُوا بِثَلَاثٍ لَيْسَ مَعَهُنَّ رَابِعَةٌ مَنْ كَانَتِ الْآخِرَةُ هَمَّهُ كَفَاهُ اللَّهُ هَمَّهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ سَرِيرَتَهُ أَصْلَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَانِيَتَهُ وَ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ اللَّهِ أَصْلَحَ اللَّهُ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ‌[6].

وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ السَّكُونِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ ع‌ مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ يَمُرُّ عَلَى ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ أَنَا يَوْمٌ جَدِيدٌ وَ أَنَا عَلَيْكَ شَهِيدٌ فَقُلْ فِيَّ خَيْراً وَ اعْمَلْ فِيَّ خَيْراً أَشْهَدْ لَكَ بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَإِنَّكَ لَنْ تَرَانِي بَعْدَ هَذَا أَبَداً.

وَ رَوَى الْمُعَلَّى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُدْرِكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع قَالَ‌ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ جَمَعَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ النَّاسَ فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ وَ وُضِعَتِ الْمَوَازِينُ فَتُوزَنُ دِمَاءُ الشُّهَدَاءِ مَعَ مِدَادِ الْعُلَمَاءِ فَيَرْجَحُ مِد

"On the Day of Judgment, Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, will gather all people on one plain ground, and the scales will be set. The blood of the martyrs will be weighed against the ink of the scholars, and the ink of the scholars will outweigh the blood of the martyrs."

لِلصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ هَذَا الْقَوْلِ قَوْلُ مَنْ هُوَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْإِيمَانَ وَ التَّقْوَى وَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ عَاقِبَةِ الْأُمُورِ إِنَّ أَشْرَفَ الْحَدِيثِ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَ رَأْسَ الْحِكْمَةِ طَاعَتُهُ وَ أَصْدَقَ الْقَوْلِ وَ أَبْلَغَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ وَ أَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ وَ أَوْثَقَ الْعُرَى الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَ خَيْرَ الْمِلَلِ مِلَّ

I asked Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as): "Inform me about this statement, whose words are: 'I ask Allah (swt) for faith and piety, and I seek refuge in Allah (swt) from the evil consequences of matters. Hadith.5874 - Al-Mufaddal narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as), that he said: "A dispute occurred between Salman Al-Farsi, may Allah (swt) have mercy on him, and a man. The man said to Salman: 'Who are you, and what are you?' Salman replied: 'As for my beginning and yours, it is a unclean drop of fluid,

لِبَعْضِ وُلْدِهِ‌ يَا بُنَيَّ إِيَّاكَ أَنْ يَرَاكَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِي مَعْصِيَةٍ نَهَاكَ عَنْهَا وَ إِيَّاكَ أَنْ يَفْقِدَكَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عِنْدَ طَاعَةٍ أَمَرَكَ بِهَا وَ عَلَيْكَ بِالْجِدِّ وَ لَا تُخْرِجَنَّ نَفْسَكَ مِنَ التَّقْصِيرِ فِي عِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَا يُعْبَدُ حَقَّ عِبَادَتِهِ وَ إِيَّاكَ وَ الْمِزَاحَ‌[3] فَإِنَّهُ يَذْهَبُ بِنُورِ إِيمَانِكَ وَ يَسْتَخِفُّ بِ

Hadith.5885 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Sa'd ibn Abi Khalaf, from Abu Al-Hasan Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) that Imam (as) said to one of his sons: "My son, beware that Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, sees you committing a sin He (swt) has forbidden you from. وَ رَوَى عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع قَالَ‌ الدُّنْيَا طَالِبَةٌ وَ مَطْلُوبَةٌ فَمَنْ طَلَبَ الدُّنْيَا طَلَبَهُ الْمَوْتُ حَتَّى يُخْرِجَهُ مِنْهَا[1] وَ مَنْ طَلَبَ الْآخِرَةَ طَلَبَتْهُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى تُوَفِّيَهُ رِزْقَهُ.

"The world is both a seeker and one being sought. Whoever seeks the world, death will pursue him until it removes him from it. And whoever seeks Hereafter, the world will pursue him until it delivers his sustenance to him."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْكُوفِيُّ الْبَزَّازُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ- عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ع قَالَ‌ مَنْ مَاتَ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ‌[2] بَعْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَقْتَ الزَّوَالِ وَ كَانَ مُؤْمِناً أَعَاذَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ

"Whoever dies on Thursday after the sun has passed its zenith until the time of the sun's zenith on Friday, and was a believer, Allah (swt), the Majestic, will protect him from the squeezing of the grave and accept his intercession for people as numerous as the tribes of Rabiah and Mudar. قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ : "إِذَا وَقَعَ اَلْوَلَدُ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ صَارَ وَجْهُهُ قِبَلَ ظَهْرِ أُمِّهِ إِنْ كَانَ ذَكَراً وَ إِنْ كَانَتْ أُنْثَى صَارَ وَجْهُهَا قِبَلَ بَطْنِ أُمِّهَا وَ يَدَاهُ عَلَى وَجْنَتَيْهِ وَ ذَقَنُهُ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ كَهَيْئَةِ اَلْحَزِينِ اَلْمَهْمُومِ فَهُوَ كَالْمَصْرُورِ مَنُوطٌ بِمِعَاءٍ مِنْ سُرَّتِهِ إِلَى سُرَّةِ أُمِّهِ فَبِتِلْكَ اَلسُّرَّةِ
