سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ ذَهَبَ طَمْثُهَا سِنِينَ ثُمَّ عَادَ إِلَيْهَا شَيْءٌ قَالَ تَتْرُكُ الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ[2].
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman whose Hayd (menses) stops for years and it comes back again. He (the Imam) said, ‘She must not perform Salah (prayer) until she is Hayd (menses) free.’”
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع الْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِي قَدْ يَئِسَتْ مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ حَدُّهَا خَمْسُونَ سَنَةً. - وَ رُوِيَ سِتُّونَ سَنَةً أَيْضاً.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Menopause happens at the age of fifty. 5 It is also narrated that it is at the age of sixty.”
إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ خَمْسِينَ سَنَةً لَمْ تَرَ حُمْرَةً إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When a woman becomes fifty years old, she does not see anything red (experience Hayd (menses)) unless she is from Quraysh.’”
حَدُّ الَّتِي قَدْ يَئِسَتْ مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ خَمْسُونَ سَنَةً.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Menopause happens at the age of fifty years.”’
