مِنْ مُرِّ الْعَيْشِ النُّقْلَةُ مِنْ دَارٍ إِلَى دَارٍ وَ أَكْلُ خُبْزِ الشِّرَى[1].
“Of the bitterness in life is moving from one house to another house and eating bread made of colocynth.’”

مَنْ كَسَبَ مَالًا مِنْ غَيْرِ حِلِّهِ سَلَّطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْبِنَاءَ وَ الْمَاءَ وَ الطِّينَ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one earns an asset through unlawful means Allah overpowers him by means of building, water and clay.”’
رَأَيْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ مُوسَى ع وَ قَدْ بَنَى بِمِنًى بِنَاءً ثُمَّ هَدَمَهُ.
“I once saw abu al-Hassan (a.s.), in Mina where he built a structure, then destroyed it.’”
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ- وَ إِنْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَ لكِنْ لا تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ[2] قَالَ تَنَقُّضُ الْجُدُرِ تَسْبِيحُهَا.
"I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the meaning of the words of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, ‘There is not anything that does not say Tasbih (Allah is free of all defects) and praise Him but you do not understand their Tasbih (Allah is free of all defects).’ (17:34) He (the Imam) said, ‘The breaking down
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع اكْنُسُوا أَفْنِيَتَكُمْ وَ لَا تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ.
‘You must sweep the yard of your house and do not become similar to the Jews.’”
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع لَا تُؤْوُوا التُّرَابَ خَلْفَ الْبَابِ فَإِنَّهُ مَأْوَى الشَّيَاطِينِ.
“’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not allow the dust to accumulate behind the door; it becomes a resort for Satans.’”
كُلُّ بِنَاءٍ لَيْسَ بِكَفَافٍ فَهُوَ وَبَالٌ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
‘The constructions that are not within owner’s budget will be a burden for him on the Day of Judgment.’”
كَنْسُ الْبَيْتِ يَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ.
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Sweep the house, it removes poverty.’”
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بَيْتاً مُظْلِماً إِلَّا بِمِصْبَاحٍ.
Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited entering a dark house without a lamp.’”
شَكَتْ أَسَافِلُ الْحِيطَانِ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنْ ثِقْلِ أَعَالِيهَا فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِلَيْهَا يَحْمِلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضاً.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, The lower parts of the wall complained before Allah because of the weight of the upper parts and Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, inspired it saying, ‘Certain parts of you must leave the other parts.’”
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص بَيْتُ الشَّيَاطِينِ مِنْ بُيُوتِكُمْ بَيْتُ الْعَنْكَبُوتِ[1].
‘The house of Satans in your houses are the spider webs.’”
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنْ إِغْلَاقِ الْأَبْوَابِ وَ إِيكَاءِ الْأَوَانِي وَ إِطْفَاءِ السِّرَاجِ فَقَالَ أَغْلِقْ بَابَكَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَفْتَحُ بَاباً وَ أَطْفِ السِّرَاجَ مِنَ الْفُوَيْسِقَةِ وَ هِيَ الْفَأْرَةُ لَا تُحْرِقْ بَيْتَكَ وَ أَوْكِ الْإِنَاءَ[2]. - وَ رُوِيَ أَنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَكْشِفُ مُخَمَّراً يَعْنِي مُغَطًّى.
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about closing the doors, turning the utensils around and turning-off the lamp. He (the Imam) said, ‘Close your door; Satan does not open the door, turnoff the lamp against al-Fuwaysaqah which is the mouse, do not burn your house and secure the utensils (by means of cover and so on).
قَالَ الرِّضَا ع إِسْرَاجُ السِّرَاجِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ يَنْفِي الْفَقْرَ.
“Al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘Turning on the lamp before sunset banishes poverty.’”
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ص إِذَا خَرَجَ فِي الصَّيْفِ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ خَرَجَ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ وَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ فِي الشِّتَاءِ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ دَخَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ رُوِيَ أَيْضاً كَانَ دُخُولُهُ وَ خُرُوجُهُ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, wanted to travel in summer he would leave on Thursday, and in winter because of cold enter on Friday. إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ جَعَلَ مِنْ أَرْضِهِ بِقَاعاً تُسَمَّى الْمَرْحُومَاتِ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُدْعَى فِيهَا فَيُجِيبَ وَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ جَعَلَ مِنْ أَرْضِهِ بِقَاعاً تُسَمَّى الْمُنْتَقِمَاتِ فَإِذَا كَسَبَ الرَّجُلُ مَالًا مِنْ غَيْرِ حِلِّهِ سَلَّطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ بُقْعَةً مِنْهَا فَأَنْفَقَهُ فِيهَا.
“Abu al-Hassan, al-Thalith (a.s.), has said that Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has made certain areas of the earth called recipient of mercy.
