faqih-2444Vol. 2, p. 280

I said to Abu Abdullah (as), "I am traveling for Hajj with my family, and I secure my expenses by tying them around my waist." Imam (as) said: "Yes, for my father (as) used to say: 'Part of the strength of a traveller is safeguarding their expenses.'"

faqih-2445Vol. 2, p. 280

I said to Abu Abdullah (as), "I have coins with images on them while I am in a state of Ihram. I place them in my belt and tie it around my waist. Is this permissible?" Imam (as) said: "There is no problem with that. Are they not your expenses upon which you rely after Allah (swt), the Mighty and Glorious?"
