قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص‌ مَنْ أَصَابَهُ هَمٌّ أَوْ غَمٌّ أَوْ كَرْبٌ أَوْ بَلَاءٌ أَوْ لَاوَاءٌ-[1] فَلْيَقُلِ اللَّهُ رَبِّي وَ لَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئاً تَوَكَّلْتُ‌ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لا يَمُوتُ‌.

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever suffers from sorrow, pain, misfortune or poverty should say, “Allah is My Lord and I do not associate any partner with Him, I place my trust in the Living One who does not die.’”

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو بَصِيرٍ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ اللَّيْلَةُ الَّتِي يُرْجَى فِيهَا مَا يُرْجَى‌[1] فَقَالَ فِي إِحْدَى وَ عِشْرِينَ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ قَالَ فَإِنْ لَمْ أَقْوَ عَلَى كِلْتَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ مَا أَيْسَرَ لَيْلَتَيْنِ فِيمَا تَطْلُبُ قُلْتُ فَرُبَّمَا رَأَيْنَا الْهِلَالَ عِنْدَنَا وَ جَاءَنَا مَنْ يُخْبِرُنَا بِخِلَافِ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَرْضٍ أُخْرَى فَقَالَ مَا أَيْسَر
