كَانَتِ الْجِمَارُ تُرْمَى جَمِيعاً قُلْتُ فَأَرْمِيهَا فَقَالَ لَا أَ مَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَصْنَعَ كَمَا أَصْنَعُ.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn abu ‘Umayr from Jamil from Zurarah and from ‘ibn ‘Udhaynah from ibn Bukayr who has said the following: “One of the two Imam, (abu Ja’far or abu ‘Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ‘Pebbles were thrown on all of them.’ I then asked, ‘Can I throw on all of th
رَمَى أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع الْجَمْرَةَ الْعُظْمَى فَرَأَى النَّاسَ وُقُوفاً فَقَامَ وَسْطَهُمْ[1] ثُمَّ نَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ بِمَوْقِفٍ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَفَعَلْتُ[2].
5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ibn Muskan from Sa‘id al- Rumiy who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, threw pebbles on al-Jamarah al-‘Uzma’ and saw people standing. He (the Imam) stood in their middle and announced with the height of
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِذَا رَمَيْتَ الْجِمَارَ كَانَ لَكَ بِكُلِّ حَصَاةٍ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ تُكْتَبُ لَكَ لِمَا تَسْتَقْبِلُ مِنْ عُمُرِكَ[3].
For every pebble you throw on al-Jamar, ten good deeds will be written for you (every year) for the rest of your life.’
لَهُ بِكُلِّ حَصَاةٍ يَرْمِي بِهَا تُحَطُّ عَنْهُ كَبِيرَةٌ مُوبِقَةٌ[4].
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that with every pebble that one throws on al-Jamar, one major destructive sin is deleted.”
ارْمِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ عِنْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ وَ قُلْ كَمَا قُلْتَ حِينَ رَمَيْتَ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ فَابْدَأْ بِالْجَمْرَةِ الْأُولَى فَارْمِهَا عَنْ يَسَارِهَا[6] فِي بَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ وَ قُلْ كَمَا قُلْتَ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قُمْ عَنْ يَسَارِ الطَّرِيقِ فَاسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ فَاحْمَدِ اللَّهَ وَ أَثْنِ عَلَيْهِ وَ صَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ص ثُمَّ تَقَدَّمْ قَلِيلًا فَتَدْعُو وَ تَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يَتَقَبَّلَ مِنْ

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع عَنِ الْجِمَارِ فَقَالَ قُمْ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَتَيْنِ وَ لَا تَقُمْ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ قُلْتُ هَذَا مِنَ السُّنَّةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ مَا أَقُولُ إِذَا رَمَيْتُ فَقَالَ كَبِّرْ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn af-Husayn from Safwan ibn Yahya from Ya’qub ibn Shu‘ayb who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, about al-Jamar. He (the Imam) said, ‘You can stand near the two al-Jamarah but do not stand (for a long time) near Jamarah al-‘Aqabah.’
