Chapter on the Tawaf of the Sick and Those Carried Without an Excuse

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ع يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي‌ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص طَافَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَ اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ بِمِحْجَنِهِ‌[3] وَ سَعَى عَلَيْهَا بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَ الْمَرْوَةِ.

Hadith.2818 - Muhammad ibn Muslim narrated: "I heard Abu Ja'far (as) say: My father told me that the Messenger of Allah (swt), peace and blessings be upon him and his family, performed tawaf on his mount, touched the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) with his staff, and performed sa‘y between Safa and Marwah on it."

وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَرِضَ فَأَمَرَ غِلْمَانَهُ أَنْ يَحْمِلُوهُ وَ يَطُوفُوا بِهِ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُخَطُّوا بِرِجْلِهِ الْأَرْضَ حَتَّى تَمَسَّ الْأَرْضَ قَدَمَاهُ فِي الطَّوَافِ. - وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ‌[1] أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّمَا بَلَغَ إِلَى الرُّكْنِ الْيَمَانِيِ‌[2].

Hadith.2820 - It is narrated from Abu Basir: "Imam Abu Abdullah (as) fell ill, so he instructed his attendants to carry him and circumambulate the Kaaba with him.
