قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِي كِتَابِهِ- وَ لا تَأْكُلُوا أَمْوالَكُمْ‌ بَيْنَكُمْ بِالْباطِلِ وَ تُدْلُوا بِها إِلَى الْحُكَّامِ‌[2] فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا بَصِيرٍ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّ فِي الْأُمَّةِ حُكَّاماً يَجُورُونَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَعْنِ حُكَّامَ أَهْلِ الْعَدْلِ وَ لَكِنَّهُ عَنَى حُكَّامَ أَهْلِ الْجَوْرِ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ إِنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ لَكَ

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the disciples gathered around Jesus (a.s.), and said, ‘O teacher of good, give us advice.’ He said to them, ‘Musa, the Prophet of Allah has commanded you not to swear by Allah falsely, but I command you not to swear by Allah, regardless, you are truthful or false.’”

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ‌ وَصَلْتُمْ وَ قَطَعَ النَّاسُ وَ أَحْبَبْتُمْ وَ أَبْغَضَ النَّاسُ وَ عَرَفْتُمْ وَ أَنْكَرَ النَّاسُ وَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اتَّخَذَ مُحَمَّداً ص عَبْداً قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَهُ نَبِيّاً وَ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً ع كَانَ عَبْداً نَاصِحاً لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَنَصَحَهُ وَ أَحَبَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَأَحَبَّهُ إِنَّ حَقَّنَا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ بَيِّنٌ لَنَا صَفْوُ الْأ

لِرَجُلٍ وَ قَدْ كَلَّمَهُ بِكَلَامٍ كَثِيرٍ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا الرَّجُلُ تَحْتَقِرُ الْكَلَامَ وَ تَسْتَصْغِرُهُ اعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَمْ يَبْعَثْ رُسُلَهُ حَيْثُ بَعَثَهَا وَ مَعَهَا ذَهَبٌ وَ لَا فِضَّةٌ وَ لَكِنْ بَعَثَهَا بِالْكَلَامِ وَ إِنَّمَا عَرَّفَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَ عَزَّ نَفْسَهُ إِلَى خَلْقِهِ بِالْكَلَامِ وَ الدَّلَالاتِ عَلَيْهِ وَ الْأَعْلَامِ.
