ثَلَاثَةٌ يَشْكُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَسْجِدٌ خَرَابٌ لَا يُصَلِّي فِيهِ أَهْلُهُ وَ عَالِمٌ بَيْنَ جُهَّالٍ وَ مُصْحَفٌ مُعَلَّقٌ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِ الْغُبَارُ لَا يُقْرَأُ فِيهِ.

“Three things will complain before Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy: A Mosque where no one of the neighborhood performs prayer, a scholar among the ignorant people and the copy of the Holy Quran on which dust has accumulated and no one reads it.”

“Once accents and voices were mentioned before abu al- Hassan (a.s.) and he said, ‘Once Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) was reading and someone passing by suffered a shock due to the beauty of his voice. Surah al-Mulk (Chapter 67) is a protector. It protects against the torment of the grave. It ( Surah al-Mulk) is written in the Torah. “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘You must pray in the Mosques, maintain good neighborly relations with people, present your testimony, and attend funeral processions. You need people. There is no one who does not need people in his life. People need each other.’”

“When anyone of you offers the greeting of peace he should say it loud and clear so he will not complain that no one answered his greeting of peace. He may have offered, but no one may have heard it and when any one of you answers the greeting he should say it loud and clear so that the one offering it will not say, ‘I

مَنْ عَطَسَ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى قَصَبَةِ أَنْفِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ‌ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعالَمِينَ* الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ حَمْداً كَثِيراً كَمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ وَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ وَ آلِهِ وَ سَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنْ مَنْخِرِهِ الْأَيْسَرِ طَائِرٌ أَصْغَرُ مِنَ الْجَرَادِ وَ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الذُّبَابِ حَتَّى يَسِيرَ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ يَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ لَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.

“If one sneezes, places his hand over his nose and says, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds, (all praise belongs to Allah), a great deal of praise, as He deserves, Allah has granted al-Salat (favors) and peace upon Muhammad, His Holy Prophet, and the Ahl al-Bay (family of Muhammad), a small flying thing,

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بِئْرٌ يُسْتَقَى مِنْهَا وَ يُتَوَضَّأُ بِهِ وَ يُغْسَلُ مِنْهُ الثِّيَابُ وَ يُعْجَنُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِيهَا مَيِّتٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ وَ لَا يُغْسَلُ مِنْهُ الثَّوْبُ وَ لَا تُعَادُ مِنْهُ الصَّلَاةُ.

“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, that there was a well from which people drank, took Wudu’, washed their clothes and flour was made into dough with its water, and then a dead body was found in it. He (the Imam) said, ‘It does not matter, there is no need to wash clothes or perform Salah (prayer) again.’

The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Were it not to cause hardships to my followers, I would command them to brush their teeth for every Salah (prayer).”’

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘While taking Wudu’ if you are not certain of washing your forearm, you must go back to wash it and repeat all of the acts of Wudu’ that you doubt about its being washed or wiped which Allah has commanded to be done. This applies when you are still taking Wudu’, but when you complete Wudu’

It is difficult for him to take Wudu’ in a sitting position and leaning against something. He may also slumber when he is sitting. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must take Wudu’.’ I then said, ‘Takin

“Once abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), said, ‘If certain fluids (called al-Madhiy or Wadiy) other than semen and urine come out of your urethra during Salah (prayer), you do not have to wash them or discontinue your Salah (prayer); nor do they invalidate Wudu’ even if such fluids reach up to your backside.
