قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع‌ غَسْلُ الْيَدَيْنِ قَبْلَ الطَّعَامِ وَ بَعْدَهُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْعُمُرِ وَ إِمَاطَةٌ لِلْغَمَرِ عَنِ الثِّيَابِ وَ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ[1].

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Washing hands before and after eating food removes stains from clothes and clears eyesight.’”

‘The host must begin wudu so that no one feels shy. “If one finds pieces of food and eats them it is one good deed, and if one finds them in unclean places, then washes them, then picks them up, he will have seventy good deeds recorded for him.’””
