سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع- عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ طَلَاقاً لَا تَحِلُّ لَهُ‌ حَتَّى تَنْكِحَ زَوْجاً غَيْرَهُ‌ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا عَبْدٌ ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا هَلْ يُهْدَمُ الطَّلَاقُ قَالَ نَعَمْ لِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فِي كِتَابِهِ- حَتَّى تَنْكِحَ زَوْجاً غَيْرَهُ‌[1] وَ قَالَ هُوَ أَحَدُ الْأَزْوَاجِ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a man accumulates four wives then divorces one, he cannot marry the fifth before the end of waiting period of the woman whom he has divorced.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘A man cannot deposit his water in five.’”
