قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ع دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ص الْكَعْبَةَ فَصَلَّى فِي زَوَايَاهَا الْأَرْبَعِ صَلَّى فِي كُلِّ زَاوِيَةٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ.
“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, entered al-Ka‘bah and performed Salat (prayer) in all of its four corners two Rak‘at in each.’”
إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ وَ تَأْتِيَ أَهْلَكَ فَوَدِّعِ الْبَيْتَ وَ طُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ أُسْبُوعاً وَ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تَسْتَلِمَ الْحَجَرَ الْأَسْوَدَ وَ الرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَّ فِي كُلِّ شَوْطٍ فَافْعَلْ وَ إِلَّا فَافْتَتِحْ بِهِ وَ اخْتِمْ بِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ ذَلِكَ فَمُوَسَّعٌ عَلَيْكَ ثُمَّ تَأْتِي الْمُسْتَجَارَ فَتَصْنَعُ عِنْدَهُ كَمَا صَنَعْتَ يَوْمَ قَدِمْتَ مَكَّةَ وَ تَخَيَّر

قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ عُمْرَةً فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فِي امْرَأَةٍ وَعَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فَقَالَ لَهَا اعْتَمِرِي فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَهِيَ لَكِ حَجَّةٌ[1].
“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘It is narrated to us that performing al-‘Umrah in the month of Ramadan is equal to al-Hajj. He (the Imam) said, ‘This was only about a woman to whom the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, had promised
قَدْ أَفْسَدَ عُمْرَتَهُ وَ عَلَيْهِ بَدَنَةٌ وَ يُقِيمُ بِمَكَّةَ مُحِلًّا حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ الشَّهْرُ الَّذِي اعْتَمَرَ فِيهِ ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الْوَقْتِ الَّذِي وَقَّتَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِأَهْلِ بِلَادِهِ فَيُحْرِمُ مِنْهُ وَ يَعْتَمِرُ.
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who is for Mufradah al-‘Umrah, performs Tawaf around the House as obligatory Tawaf; then involves in sexual intercourse with his wife before Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah. إِنَّ الْقَائِمَ ع إِذَا قَامَ رَدَّ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ إِلَى أَسَاسِهِ وَ مَسْجِدَ الرَّسُولِ إِلَى أَسَاسِهِ وَ مَسْجِدَ الْكُوفَةِ إِلَى أَسَاسِهِ وَ قَالَ أَبُو بَصِيرٍ إِلَى مَوْضِعِ التَّمَّارِينَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ.

كُنْتُ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي الْكَعْبَةَ فَصَلَّى عَلَى الرُّخَامَةِ الْحَمْرَاءِ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ فَقَالَ فِي هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ تَعَاقَدَ الْقَوْمُ إِنْ مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَوْ قُتِلَ أَلَّا يَرُدُّوا هَذَا الْأَمْرَ فِي أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ أَبَداً قَالَ قُلْتُ وَ مَنْ كَانَ قَالَ كَانَ الْأَوَّلُ وَ الثَّانِي وَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ وَ سَالِمُ بْنُ الْحَبِيبَةِ.

شَكَتِ الْكَعْبَةُ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَا تَلْقَى مِنْ أَنْفَاسٍ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَأَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَيْهَا قِرِّي كَعْبَةُ فَإِنِّي مُبْدِلُكِ بِهِمْ قَوْماً يَتَنَظَّفُونَ بِقُضْبَانِ الشَّجَرِ فَلَمَّا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مُحَمَّداً ص أَوْحَى إِلَيْهِ مَعَ جَبْرَئِيلَ ع بِالسِّوَاكِ وَ الْخِلَالِ.
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘Al-Ka‘bah complained before Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, against the bad breath of the pagans. Allah sent a revelation that said, ‘Calm down. I will replace them with a people who will use twigs for cleaning up their mouths. 5 Allah then raised Muhammad (SAW), and Jibril b
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ مَا لِمَنْ زَارَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص مُتَعَمِّداً فَقَالَ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ.
“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), ’What is the reward for one who visits the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, voluntarily?’ He (the Imam) replied, ’The reward for him is paradise.’”
إِنَّ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ زِيَارَةَ قُبُورِ الشُّهَدَاءِ[2] وَ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص.
“He (the Imam) (a.s.) has said, ‘Visiting the grave of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, the graves of the martyrs and the grave of Imam al-Husayn (a.s.), is equal to performing al-Hajj along with the Messenger of Allah.”
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ أَتَانِي زَائِراً كُنْتُ شَفِيعَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Whoever comes to visit me, I will intercede on his behalf on the Day of Judgment.’”
قَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ ع لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص يَا أَبَتَاهْ مَا لِمَنْ زَارَكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص يَا بُنَيَّ مَنْ زَارَنِي حَيّاً أَوْ مَيِّتاً أَوْ زَارَ أَبَاكَ أَوْ زَارَ أَخَاكَ أَوْ زَارَكَ كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَزُورَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ أُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ.
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said that al-Husayn (a.s.), once asked, ‘What, O grandfather, is the reward for one who visits you?’ The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, replied as follows: ‘My son, whoever visits me in my lifetime or after I
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَنْ أَتَى مَكَّةَ حَاجّاً وَ لَمْ يَزُرْنِي إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ جَفَوْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ مَنْ أَتَانِي زَائِراً وَجَبَتْ لَهُ شَفَاعَتِي وَ مَنْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ شَفَاعَتِي وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَ مَنْ مَاتَ فِي أَحَدِ الْحَرَمَيْنِ- مَكَّةَ وَ الْمَدِينَةِ لَمْ يُعْرَضْ وَ لَمْ يُحَاسَبْ وَ مَنْ مَاتَ مُهَاجِراً إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ حُشِرَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ أَصْحَابِ
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Whoever comes to Makkah for al-Hajj but does not visit me, on the Day of Judgment I will turn away from him. حَجَجْنَا فَمَرَرْنَا بِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع فَقَالَ حَاجُّ بَيْتِ اللَّهِ وَ زُوَّارُ قَبْرِ نَبِيِّهِ ص وَ شِيعَةُ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ هَنِيئاً لَكُمْ.
“We performed al-Hajj. We then visited abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.). He (the Imam) said, ‘(Oh) visitors of the House of Allah, visitors of the grave of His prophet (sw) and Shias of the family of Muhammad, congratulations to you!’”
إِذَا دَخَلْتَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَاغْتَسِلْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَهَا أَوْ حِينَ تَدْخُلُهَا ثُمَّ تَأْتِي قَبْرَ النَّبِيِّ ص ثُمَّ تَقُومُ فَتُسَلِّمُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص ثُمَّ تَقُومُ عِنْدَ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ الْمُقَدَّمَةِ مِنْ جَانِبِ الْقَبْرِ الْأَيْمَنِ عِنْدَ رَأْسِ الْقَبْرِ عِنْدَ زَاوِيَةِ الْقَبْرِ[2] وَ أَنْتَ مُسْتَقْبِلُ الْقِبْلَةِ وَ مَنْكِبُكَ الْأَيْسَرُ إِلَى جَانِبِ الْقَبْرِ وَ مَنْكِبُكَ الْأَيْم

كَانَ أَبِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ع يَقِفُ عَلَى قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ ص فَيُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ وَ يَشْهَدُ لَهُ بِالْبَلَاغِ وَ يَدْعُو بِمَا حَضَرَهُ ثُمَّ يُسْنِدُ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْمَرْوَةِ الْخَضْرَاءِ الدَّقِيقَةِ الْعَرْضِ[3] مِمَّا يَلِي الْقَبْرَ وَ يَلْتَزِقُ بِالْقَبْرِ وَ يُسْنِدُ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى الْقَبْرِ وَ يَسْتَقْبِلُ الْقِبْلَةَ فَيَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ أَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي[4] وَ إِلَى قَبْرِ مُحَم

رَأَيْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع انْتَهَى إِلَى قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ ص فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ قَالَ- أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي اجْتَبَاكَ وَ اخْتَارَكَ وَ هَدَاكَ وَ هَدَى بِكَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَ مَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيماً.
“I saw abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), approaching the grave of the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. لَهُمْ مُرُّوا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَسَلِّمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص مِنْ قَرِيبٍ وَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الصَّلَاةُ تَبْلُغُهُ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ[1].

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع[2] عَنِ الْمَمَرِّ فِي مُؤَخَّرِ مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ لَا أُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ص فَقَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ع يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ قُلْتُ فَيَدْخُلُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَيُسَلِّمُ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ لَا يَدْنُو مِنَ الْقَبْرِ فَقَالَ لَا قَالَ سَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِ حِينَ تَدْخُلُ وَ حِينَ تَخْرُجُ وَ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ.

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ لَمَّا كَانَ سَنَةُ إِحْدَى وَ أَرْبَعِينَ أَرَادَ مُعَاوِيَةُ الْحَجَّ فَأَرْسَلَ نَجَّاراً وَ أَرْسَلَ بِالْآلَةِ وَ كَتَبَ إِلَى صَاحِبِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَنْ يَقْلَعَ مِنْبَرَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ يَجْعَلُوهُ عَلَى قَدْرِ مِنْبَرِهِ بِالشَّامِ فَلَمَّا نَهَضُوا لِيَقْلَعُوهُ انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَ زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ فَكَفُّوا وَ كَتَبُوا بِذَلِكَ إِلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ فَكَتَبَ
“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘In the year forty-one Mu‘awiyah decided to perform al-Hajj. He sent certain carpenters with tools with orders to the governor of al-Madinah to remove the pulpit of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause,
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَ مِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ مِنْبَرِي عَلَى تُرْعَةٍ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ قَوَائِمُ مِنْبَرِي رُبَّتْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ[3] قَالَ قُلْتُ هِيَ رَوْضَةُ الْيَوْمِ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنَّهُ لَوْ كُشِفَ الْغِطَاءُ لَرَأَيْتُمْ.

سَأَلْتُهُ[4] عَنْ حَدِّ مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ ص فَقَالَ الْأُسْطُوَانَةُ الَّتِي عِنْدَ رَأْسِ الْقَبْرِ إِلَى الْأُسْطُوَانَتَيْنِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْمِنْبَرِ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْقِبْلَةِ وَ كَانَ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْمِنْبَرِ طَرِيقٌ تَمُرُّ فِيهِ الشَّاةُ وَ يَمُرُّ الرَّجُلُ مُنْحَرِفاً وَ كَانَ سَاحَةُ الْمَسْجِدِ مِنَ الْبَلَاطِ إِلَى الصَّحْنِ[5].

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع- عَمَّا يَقُولُ النَّاسُ فِي الرَّوْضَةِ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فِيمَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَ مِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ مِنْبَرِي عَلَى تُرْعَةٍ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ فَمَا حَدُّ الرَّوْضَةِ فَقَالَ بُعْدُ أَرْبَعِ أَسَاطِينَ مِنَ الْمِنْبَرِ إِلَى الظِّلَالِ فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ مِنَ الصَّحْنِ فِيهَا شَيْءٌ قَالَ لَا.
“Between my house and my pulpit is a garden of the gardens of paradise. My pulpit is a passageway of the passageways of paradise.’” I (the narrator) then asked, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what are the limits of al-Rawdah?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is four pillars away from the pulpit
حَدُّ الرَّوْضَةِ فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ ص إِلَى طَرَفِ الظِّلَالِ وَ حَدُّ الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَى الْأُسْطُوَانَتَيْنِ عَنْ يَمِينِ الْمِنْبَرِ إِلَى الطَّرِيقِ مِمَّا يَلِي سُوقَ اللَّيْلِ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the limit of al-Rawdah in the Masjid of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, is to the edge of the shadows. The limit of the Masjid is up to two pillars from the right side of the pulpit up to the pat
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع كَمْ كَانَ مَسْجِدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص قَالَ كَانَ ثَلَاثَةَ آلَافٍ وَ سِتَّمِائَةِ ذِرَاعٍ مُكَسَّراً[1].
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘What was the area of the Masjid of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It was three thousand six hundred square yards.’”
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع هَلْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِي وَ مِنْبَرِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَ قَالَ- بَيْتُ عَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ ع مَا بَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي فِيهِ النَّبِيُّ ص إِلَى الْبَابِ الَّذِي يُحَاذِي الزُّقَاقَ إِلَى الْبَقِيعِ قَالَ فَلَوْ دَخَلْتَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْبَابِ وَ الْحَائِطُ مَكَانَهُ أَصَابَ مَنْكِبَكَ الْأَيْسَرَ ثُمَّ سَمَّى سَائِرَ الْبُيُوتِ و
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Did the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, say, “Between my house and my pulpit is a garden of the gardens of paradise?”’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, he did say so.’ He (the Imam) then said, ‘The house
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ إِذَا دَخَلْتَ مِنْ بَابِ الْبَقِيعِ- فَبَيْتُ عَلِيٍّ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ عَلَى يَسَارِكَ قَدْرَ مَمَرِّ عَنْزٍ مِنَ الْبَابِ[1] وَ هُوَ إِلَى جَانِبِ بَيْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ بَابَاهُمَا جَمِيعاً مَقْرُونَانِ.
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘If you enter (the Masjid of the Holy Prophet) through the door of al-Baqi‘, the house of Ali (a.s.), is on your left side, a goat’s passage away from the door. It is by the side of the house of the Messenger of Allah. The doors of both houses are close by.”’
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا بَيْنَ مِنْبَرِي وَ بُيُوتِي رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ وَ مِنْبَرِي عَلَى تُرْعَةٍ مِنْ تُرَعِ الْجَنَّةِ[2] وَ صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي تَعْدِلُ أَلْفَ صَلَاةٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ إِلَّا الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ قَالَ جَمِيلٌ قُلْتُ لَهُ بُيُوتُ النَّبِيِّ ص وَ بَيْتُ عَلِيٍ[3] مِنْهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ وَ أَفْضَلُ.
‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “Between my pulpit and my houses is a garden of the gardens of paradise and my pulpit is a passageway of the passageways of paradise. الصَّلَاةُ فِي مَسْجِدِ الرَّسُولِ ص تَعْدِلُ عَشَرَةَ آلَافِ صَلَاةٍ.
“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘Performing salat (prayer) in the Masjid of the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, is equal to ten thousand salat (prayer).”’
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِ النَّبِيِّ ص تَعْدِلُ بِعَشَرَةِ آلَافِ صَلَاةٍ.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Performing salat (prayer) in the Masjid of the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, is equal to ten thousand salat (prayer).”’
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع الصَّلَاةُ فِي بَيْتِ فَاطِمَةَ ع أَفْضَلُ أَوْ فِي الرَّوْضَةِ قَالَ فِي بَيْتِ فَاطِمَةَ ع.
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is performing salat (prayer) in the house of Fatimah, ‘Alayha al-Salam, more virtuous or in al-Rawdah?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Performing salat (prayer) in the house of Fatimah, ‘Alayha al-Salam, is more virtuous.’”
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع الصَّلَاةُ فِي بَيْتِ فَاطِمَةَ ع مِثْلُ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الرَّوْضَةِ قَالَ وَ أَفْضَلُ.
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Is performing salat (prayer) in the house of Fatimah, ‘Alayha al-Salam, like performing salat (prayer) in al-Rawdah?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is more virtuous.’”
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع ائْتِ مَقَامَ جَبْرَئِيلَ ع وَ هُوَ تَحْتَ الْمِيزَابِ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ مَقَامَهُ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ قُلْ أَيْ جَوَادُ أَيْ كَرِيمُ أَيْ قَرِيبُ أَيْ بَعِيدُ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ نِعْمَتَكَ قَالَ وَ ذَلِكَ مَقَامٌ لَا تَدْعُو فِيهِ حَائِضٌ تَسْتَقْبِلُ الْقِبْلَةَ ثُمَّ تَدْعُو بِدُعَاءِ ا
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You should go to the Station of Jibril (a.s.), and it is under al-Mizab. This place was his station wherefrom he asked permission from the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. You should say at this place,
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ع[1] أَيُّمَا أَفْضَلُ الْمُقَامُ بِمَكَّةَ أَوْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ أَيَّ شَيْءٍ تَقُولُ أَنْتَ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ وَ مَا قَوْلِي مَعَ قَوْلِكَ قَالَ إِنَّ قَوْلَكَ يَرُدُّكَ إِلَى قَوْلِي قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَزْعُمُ أَنَّ الْمُقَامَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَفْضَلُ مِنَ الْمُقَامِ بِمَكَّةَ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَمَا لَئِنْ قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ لَقَدْ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع ذَاكَ يَوْمَ فِط
“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), ‘Is staying in Makkah more virtuous or in al- Madinah?’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘What do you say about it?’ I (the narrator) replied, ‘My words are not of any significance before your words.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Your words return you to my words.’ I (the narrator) then said, ‘I believe
دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَ عَمَّارٌ وَ جَمَاعَةٌ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ص بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ مَا مُقَامُكُمْ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ قَدْ سَرَّحْنَا ظَهْرَنَا[2] وَ أَمَرْنَا أَنْ نُؤْتَى بِهِ إِلَى خَمْسَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْماً فَقَالَ أَصَبْتُمُ الْمُقَامَ فِي بَلَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ الصَّلَاةَ فِي مَسْجِدِهِ وَ اعْمَلُوا لآِخِرَتِكُمْ وَ أَكْثِرُوا لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ قَدْ يَكُونُ كَيِّساً فِي الدُّنْيَا فَيُقَال
“Once ‘Ammar, a group and I went to visit abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), in al-Madinah and he asked, ‘For how long have you decided to stay in al-Madinah?’ ‘Ammar said, ‘We have sent our camels to pasture for fifteen days.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Your decision to stay in the town of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compens
إِذَا دَخَلْتَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ تُقِيمَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ- الْأَرْبِعَاءَ وَ الْخَمِيسَ وَ الْجُمُعَةَ فَصَلِّ مَا بَيْنَ الْقَبْرِ وَ الْمِنْبَرِ- يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ عِنْدَ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي تَلِي الْقَبْرَ فَتَدْعُو اللَّهَ عِنْدَهَا وَ تَسْأَلُهُ كُلَّ حَاجَةٍ تُرِيدُهَا فِي آخِرَةٍ أَوْ دُنْيَا وَ الْيَوْمَ الثَّانِيَ عِنْدَ أُسْطُوَانَةِ التَّوْبَةِ وَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عِنْدَ مَقَ
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that when you enter the Masjid, if you can stay three days, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, perform salat (prayer) between the grave and the pulpit. On Wednesday, perform salat (prayer) near the pillar next to the grave. Appeal before Allah and ask Him for your wishes for the matters of
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع صُمِ الْأَرْبِعَاءَ وَ الْخَمِيسَ وَ الْجُمُعَةَ وَ صَلِّ لَيْلَةَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ وَ يَوْمَ الْأَرْبِعَاءِ عِنْدَ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي تَلِي رَأْسَ النَّبِيِّ ص وَ لَيْلَةَ الْخَمِيسِ وَ يَوْمَ الْخَمِيسِ عِنْدَ أُسْطُوَانَةِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ[3] وَ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عِنْدَ الْأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي تَلِي مَقَامَ النَّبِيِّ ص وَ ادْعُ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ لِحَاجَت

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع لَا تَدَعْ إِتْيَانَ الْمَشَاهِدِ كُلِّهَا- مَسْجِدِ قُبَاءَ فَإِنَّهُ الْمَسْجِدُ الَّذِي أُسِّسَ عَلَى التَّقْوى مِنْ أَوَّلِ يَوْمٍ وَ مَشْرَبَةِ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ مَسْجِدِ الْفَضِيخِ وَ قُبُورِ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ مَسْجِدِ الْأَحْزَابِ وَ هُوَ مَسْجِدُ الْفَتْحِ[1] قَالَ وَ بَلَغَنَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ص كَانَ إِذَا أَتَى قُبُورَ الشُّهَدَاءِ قَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِما صَبَر

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْمَسَاجِدَ الَّتِي حَوْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَبِأَيِّهَا أَبْدَأُ فَقَالَ ابْدَأْ بِقُبَا فَصَلِّ فِيهِ وَ أَكْثِرْ فَإِنَّهُ أَوَّلُ مَسْجِدٍ صَلَّى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فِي هَذِهِ الْعَرْصَةِ ثُمَّ ائْتِ مَشْرَبَةَ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَصَلِّ فِيهَا وَ هِيَ مَسْكَنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ مُصَلَّاهُ ثُمَّ تَأْتِي مَسْجِدَ الْفَضِيخِ فَتُصَلِّي فِيهِ فَقَدْ صَلَّى فِيهِ نَ
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘We go to the Masjids which are around al-Madinah. Which one should we visit first?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘First you should go to Masjid of Quba’. سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ عَاشَتْ فَاطِمَةُ س بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص خَمْسَةً وَ سَبْعِينَ يَوْماً لَمْ تُرَ كَاشِرَةً وَ لَا ضَاحِكَةً[1] تَأْتِي قُبُورَ الشُّهَدَاءِ فِي كُلِّ جُمْعَةٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ- الْإِثْنَيْنِ وَ الْخَمِيسَ فَتَقُولُ هَاهُنَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص وَ هَاهُنَا كَانَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى أَبَانٌ عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُصَلِّي هُنَاكَ وَ تَد
“I heard Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘Fatima (a.s.) lived for seventy-five days after the death of the Messenger of Allah. During this time, she was never seen laughing or smiling. Every week she would go twice to the gravesites of the martyrs, once on Monday and on Thursdays, and say, ‘There was the Messenger of Allah
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع هَلْ أَتَيْتُمْ مَسْجِدَ قُبَاءَ أَوْ مَسْجِدَ الْفَضِيخِ أَوْ مَشْرَبَةَ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ آثَارِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص شَيْءٌ إِلَّا وَ قَدْ غُيِّرَ غَيْرَ هَذَا.
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once asked, ‘Have you gone to Masjid of Quba’, or Masjid of al- Fadikh, or Mashrabah of mother of Ibrahim?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I have done so.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No other thing of the things reminding of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of th
دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَسْجِدَ الْفَضِيخِ فَقَالَ يَا عَمَّارُ تَرَى هَذِهِ الْوَهْدَةَ[1] قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ كَانَتِ امْرَأَةُ جَعْفَرٍ الَّتِي خَلَفَ[2] عَلَيْهَا أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع قَاعِدَةً فِي هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ وَ مَعَهَا ابْنَاهَا مِنْ جَعْفَرٍ فَبَكَتْ فَقَالَ لَهَا ابْنَاهَا مَا يُبْكِيكِ يَا أُمَّهْ قَالَتْ بَكَيْتُ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع فَقَالا لَهَا تَبْكِينَ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُ

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع كُنْتُ عِنْدَ زِيَادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَ عِنْدَهُ رَبِيعَةُ الرَّأْيِ فَقَالَ زِيَادٌ مَا الَّذِي حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ بَرِيدٌ فِي بَرِيدٍ فَقَالَ لِرَبِيعَةَ وَ كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص أَمْيَالٌ فَسَكَتَ وَ لَمْ يُجِبْهُ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ زِيَادٌ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَا تَقُولُ أَنْتَ فَقُلْتُ حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص م
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Once I was in the meeting of Ziyad ibn ‘Abd Allah and Rabi’ah al-Ra’iy was also there. Ziyad said, ‘What is the area which the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has made a place of sacred status in al-Mad
