فِي اَلتَّقْصِيرِ فِي اَلصَّلاَةِ بَرِيدٌ فِي بَرِيدٍ «أَرْبَعَةٌ وَ عِشْرُونَ مِيلاً» ثُمَّ قَالَ «كَانَ أَبِي عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ يَقُولُ» «إِنَّ اَلتَّقْصِيرَ لَمْ يُوضَعْ عَلَى اَلْبَغْلَةِ اَلسَّفْوَاءِ وَ اَلدَّابَّةِ اَلنَّاجِيَةِ وَ إِنَّمَا وُضِعَ عَلَى سَيْرِ اَلْقِطَارِ.
Hadith.1268 - Abdullah ibn Yahya al-Kahili heard him say about the shortening of prayers that a "Barid in a Barid" (a distance) is "twenty-four miles." Then He said: "My father (as) used to say: 'The shortening (of prayers) was not placed upon the swift mule or the quick steed; rather, it was intended for the traveling
