“I heard abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘A woman after giving birth waits for a number of days equal to those of her Hayd (menses). She then must examine, take Ghusl (bath) and perform Salah (prayer).”’

He (the Imam) said, ‘If she finds herself Hayd (menses) free after four steps have passed from noon-time, she only performs al-‘Asr Salah (prayer). It is

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of al-Ta‘widh (protective talisman) which women hang on themselves. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, they can do so if it is incased with leather, silver, tube or iron.’”
