وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ مَنْ خَالَطْتَ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ يَكُونَ يَدُكَ الْعُلْيَا عَلَيْهِ[1] فَافْعَلْ.
"Whoever you associate with, if you are able to ensure that your hand is above theirs (in generosity and giving), then do so."
وَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِذَا وَدَّعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ- زَوَّدَكُمُ اللَّهُ التَّقْوَى وَ وَجَّهَكُمْ إِلَى كُلِّ خَيْرٍ وَ قَضَى لَكُمْ كُلَّ حَاجَةٍ وَ سَلَّمَ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَ دُنْيَاكُمْ وَ رَدَّكُمْ سَالِمِينَ إِلَى سَالِمِينَ[1].
Hadith.2429 - When the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings of Allah (swt) be upon him and his family) bid farewell to the believers, he would say: "May Allah (swt) provide you with piety, direct you toward all that is good, fulfill all your needs, safeguard your religion and your worldly affairs, and return y
أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ لَكَ الصِّحَابَةَ وَ أَكْمَلَ لَكَ الْمَعُونَةَ وَ سَهَّلَ لَكَ الْحُزُونَةَ[3] وَ قَرَّبَ لَكَ الْبَعِيدَ وَ كَفَاكَ الْمُهِمَّ وَ حَفِظَ لَكَ دِينَكَ وَ أَمَانَتَكَ وَ خَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ وَ وَجَّهَكَ لِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ عَلَيْكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ اسْتَوْدِعِ اللَّهَ نَفْسَكَ سِرْ عَلَى بَرَكَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

انْزِعُوا هَذِهِ وَ اجْعَلُوا مَكَانَهَا حَدِيداً فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَقْرَبُ شَيْئاً مِمَّا فِيهَا شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْهَوَامِّ.
The righteous servant (of Allah (swt)), Abu al-Hasan Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as), looked at a provision container with brass rings and said: "Remove these and replace them with iron, for nothing harmful will approach anything contained within it."
وَ قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا بَحْرٌ عَمِيقٌ وَ قَدْ هَلَكَ فِيهَا عَالَمٌ كَثِيرٌ فَاجْعَلْ سَفِينَتَكَ فِيهَا الْإِيمَانَ بِاللَّهِ وَ اجْعَلْ شِرَاعَهَا التَّوَكُّلَ عَلَى اللَّهِ[1] وَ اجْعَلْ زَادَكَ فِيهَا تَقْوَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَإِنْ نَجَوْتَ فَبِرَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَ إِنْ هَلَكْتَ فَبِذُنُوبِكَ.
Hadith.2457 - Luqman said to his son: "O my son, the world is a deep ocean in which many people have drowned. Make your ship in it faith in Allah (swt), make its sail reliance upon Allah (swt), and make your provision in it piety toward Allah (swt), the Mighty and Glorious. إِذَا ضَلَلْتَ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ فَنَادِ- يَا صَالِحُ أَوْ يَا أَبَا صَالِحٍ أَرْشِدُونَا إِلَى الطَّرِيقِ يَرْحَمُكُمُ اللَّهُ.
مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يَمُوتُ فِي أَرْضِ غُرْبَةٍ تَغِيبُ عَنْهُ فِيهَا بَوَاكِيهِ إِلَّا بَكَتْهُ بِقَاعُ الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي كَانَ يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ عَلَيْهَا وَ بَكَتْهُ أَثْوَابُهُ وَ بَكَتْهُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ يَصْعَدُ فِيهَا عَمَلُهُ وَ بَكَاهُ الْمَلَكَانِ الْمُوَكَّلَانِ بِهِ.
لَا يَكُونُ إِحْرَامٌ إِلَّا فِي دُبُرِ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ أَوْ نَافِلَةٍ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ مَكْتُوبَةً أَحْرَمْتَ فِي دُبُرِهَا بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ وَ إِنْ كَانَتْ نَافِلَةً[2] صَلَّيْتَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ أَحْرَمْتَ فِي دُبُرِهَا فَإِذَا انْفَتَلْتَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فَاحْمَدِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ أَثْنِ عَلَيْهِ وَ صَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ص وَ تَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِمَّنِ اسْتَجَابَ
وَ رَوَى مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ اتَّقِ الْمُفَاخَرَةَ وَ عَلَيْكَ بِوَرَعٍ يَحْجُزُكَ عَنْ مَعَاصِي اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا تَفَثَهُمْ وَ مِنَ التَّفَثِ أَنْ تَتَكَلَّمَ فِي إِحْرَامِكَ بِكَلَامٍ قَبِيحٍ فَإِذَا دَخَلْتَ مَكَّةَ فَطُفْتَ بِالْبَيْتِ تَكَلَّمْتَ بِكَلَامٍ طَيِّبٍ وَ كَانَ ذَلِكَ كَفَّارَةً لِذَلِكَ[1].
"Avoid boasting, and adhere to piety that restrains you from disobedience to Allah (swt), the Almighty. Indeed, Allah (swt), the Almighty, says: 'Then let them complete their prescribed duties.' يُنْظَرُ إِلَى أَفْقَهِهِمَا وَ أَعْلَمِهِمَا بِأَحَادِيثِنَا وَ أَوْرَعِهِمَا فَيَنْفُذُ حُكْمُهُ وَ لَا يُلْتَفَتُ إِلَى الْآخَرِ[3].

قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ ع لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلَّذِي يُدْعَى إِلَى شَهَادَةٍ أَنْ يَتَقَاعَسَ عَنْهَا[4].
Hadith.3326 - It is narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl who said that the Righteous Servant, peace be upon him, said: "One who is called to bear witness should not refrain from it."

لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ أَيْنَ الرِّجَالُ فَقَالَ يَا عَلِيُّ عَمِلَ بِالْيَدِ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنِّي وَ مِنْ أَبِي فِي أَرْضِهِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مَنْ هُوَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص وَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ آبَائِي ع كُلُّهُمْ قَدْ عَمِلُوا بِأَيْدِيهِمْ وَ هُوَ مِنْ عَمَلِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ الصَّالِحِينَ.
"I saw Abu Al-Hasan (as) working in his land, and his feet were soaked in sweat. I said to him, 'May I be your ransom! Where are the men (to assist you)?' Imam (as) replied: 'O Ali, one who is better than me and my father worked with his hands in his land.' I asked him, 'Who is that?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (
قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ع إِنَّ مِنْ سَعَادَةِ الْمَرْءِ أَنْ يَكُونَ مَتْجَرُهُ فِي بِلَادِهِ وَ يَكُونَ خُلَطَاؤُهُ صَالِحِينَ وَ يَكُونَ لَهُ أَوْلَادٌ يَسْتَعِينُ بِهِمْ.

قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع[2] إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ أَحَدُكُمْ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ قُلْتُ مَا أَدْرِي جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ قَالَ إِذَا هَمَّ بِذَلِكَ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَ يَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ يَقُولُ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ التَّزْوِيجَ فَقَدِّرْ لِي مِنَ النِّسَاءِ أَعَفَّهُنَّ فَرْجاً وَ أَحْفَظَهُنَّ لِي فِي نَفْسِهَا وَ مَالِي وَ أَوْسَعَهُنَّ رِزْقاً وَ أَعْظَمَهُنَّ بَرَكَةً وَ قَيِّضْ لِي مِنْ

لِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ[4] إِذَا أُدْخِلَتْ عَلَيْكَ أَهْلُكَ فَخُذْ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا وَ اسْتَقْبِلْ بِهَا الْقِبْلَةَ وَ قُلْ- اللَّهُمَّ بِأَمَانَتِكَ أَخَذْتُهَا وَ بِكَلِمَاتِكَ اسْتَحْلَلْتُ فَرْجَهَا فَإِنْ قَضَيْتَ لِي مِنْهَا وَلَداً فَاجْعَلْهُ مُبَارَكاً سَوِيّاً[5] وَ لَا تَجْعَلْ لِلشَّيْطَانِ فِيهِ شِرْكاً وَ لَا نَصِيباً
أَيْنَ أَنْتَ مِنَ الْبَلْهَاءِ وَ اللَّوَاتِي لَا يَعْرِفْنَ شَيْئاً قُلْتُ إِنَّمَا يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ عَلَى وَجْهَيْنِ كَافِرٍ وَ مُؤْمِنٍ فَقَالَ فَأَيْنَ الَّذِينَ خَلَطُوا عَمَلًا صالِحاً وَ آخَرَ سَيِّئاً وَ أَيْنَ الْ مُرْجَوْنَ لِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ أَيْ عَفْوِ اللَّهِ.

سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى بُسْتَانٍ لَهُ مَعْرُوفٍ وَ لَهُ غَلَّةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ ثُمَّ مَكَثَ سِنِينَ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهَا ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا قَالَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى مَا صَارَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ غَلَّةِ الْبُسْتَانِ مِنْ يَوْمِ تَزَوَّجَهَا فَيُعْطِيهَا نِصْفَهُ وَ يُعْطِيهَا نِصْفَ الْبُسْتَانِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَعْفُوَ فَتَقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَ يَصْطَلِحَانِ عَلَى شَيْءٍ تَرْضَى بِهِ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَقْرَبُ لِلتّ
I asked Abu Abdillah (as) about a man who married a woman with the condition of giving her a well-known orchard that had abundant produce. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِامْرَأَةٍ سَأَلَتْهُ أَنَّ لِي زَوْجاً وَ بِهِ عَلَيَّ غِلْظَةٌ وَ إِنِّي صَنَعْتُ شَيْئاً لِأُعَطِّفَهُ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أُفٍّ لَكِ كَدَّرْتِ الْبِحَارَ وَ كَدَّرْتِ الطِّينَ وَ لَعَنَتْكِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْأَخْيَارُ وَ مَلَائِكَةُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ قَالَ فَصَامَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ نَهَارَهَا وَ قَامَتْ لَيْلَهَا وَ حَلَقَتْ رَأْسَهَا وَ لَبِسَتِ الْمُسُوحَ[1] فَ

Hadith.4688 - In the narration of Al-Sakooni, the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "A righteous child is a flower from the flowers of Paradise."
مِيرَاثُ اللَّهِ مِنْ عَبْدِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْوَلَدُ الصَّالِحُ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لَهُ

Hadith.4713 - In the narration of Ali ibn Al-Hakam from Ali ibn Abi Hamzah from the Righteous Servant (Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as)), that he said: "Aqiqah is obligatory when a man is blessed with a child. If he wishes to name the child on the same day, he may do so."
كَتَبَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ إِلَى أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ع أَنَّهُ رُوِيَ عَنِ الصَّالِحِينَ ع[1] أَنِ اخْتِنُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ يَطَّهَّرُوا فَإِنَّ الْأَرْضَ تَضِجُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنْ بَوْلِ الْأَغْلَفِ[2] وَ لَيْسَ جَعَلَنِيَ اللَّهُ فِدَاكَ لِحَجَّامِي بَلَدِنَا حِذْقٌ بِذَلِكَ وَ لَا يَخْتِنُونَهُ يَوْمَ السَّابِعِ وَ عِنْدَنَا حَجَّامٌ مِ

Hadith.4748 - Salih ibn Uqbah narrated that he heard the Righteous Servant (Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as)) say: "It is recommended for a boy to be lively and energetic in his childhood so that he may grow to be gentle and patient in his adulthood."
قُلْتُ لَهُ الْجَارِيَةُ الشَّابَّةُ الَّتِي لَا تَحِيضُ وَ مِثْلُهَا تَحِيضُ طَلَّقَهَا زَوْجُهَا قَالَ عِدَّتُهَا ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ[4].

وَ شَكَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ع نِسَاءَهُ فَقَامَ ع خَطِيباً فَقَالَ يَا مَعَاشِرَ النَّاسِ لَا تُطِيعُوا النِّسَاءَ عَلَى حَالٍ وَ لَا تَأْمَنُوهُنَّ عَلَى مَالٍ وَ لَا تَذَرُوهُنَّ يُدَبِّرْنَ أَمْرَ الْعِيَالِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ إِنْ تُرِكْنَ وَ مَا أَرَدْنَ أَوْرَدْنَ الْمَهَالِكَ وَ عَدَوْنَ أَمْرَ الْمَالِكِ[2] فَإِنَّا وَجَدْنَاهُنَّ لَا وَرَعَ لَهُنَّ عِنْدَ حَاجَتِهِنَّ وَ لَا صَبْرَ لَهُن

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عُلْوَانَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص لِعَلِيٍّ ع يَا عَلِيُّ أُوصِيكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ بِخِصَالٍ فَاحْفَظْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنْهُ أَمَّا الْأُولَى فَالصِّدْقُ وَ لَا تَخْرُجَنَّ مِنْ فِيكَ كَذِبَةٌ أَبَداً وَ الثَّانِيَةُ الْوَرَعُ حَتَّى لَا تَجْتَرِيَنَّ عَلَى خِيَانَةٍ أَبَداً[4] وَ الثَّالِثَةُ الْخَوْفُ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ

ع يَا بُنَيَّ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَنْ أُوصِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَ أَنْ أَدْفَعَ إِلَيْكَ كُتُبِي وَ سِلَاحِي كَمَا أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص وَ دَفَعَ إِلَيَّ كُتُبَهُ وَ سِلَاحَهُ وَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ آمُرَكَ إِذَا حَضَرَكَ الْمَوْتُ أَنْ تَدْفَعَهُ إِلَى أَخِيكَ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى ابْنِهِ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَقَالَ وَ أَمَرَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص أَنْ تَدْفَعَهُ إِلَى ابْنِكَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَ
"I witnessed the will of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) when he appointed his son Imam Hasan ibn Ali (as) as his successor and made Imam Hussain ibn Ali (as), Muhammad (Hanafiya), all of his children, the prominent members of his household, and his followers (Shi'a) witnesses to his will. لِلصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ع أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ هَذَا الْقَوْلِ قَوْلُ مَنْ هُوَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ الْإِيمَانَ وَ التَّقْوَى وَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ عَاقِبَةِ الْأُمُورِ إِنَّ أَشْرَفَ الْحَدِيثِ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَ رَأْسَ الْحِكْمَةِ طَاعَتُهُ وَ أَصْدَقَ الْقَوْلِ وَ أَبْلَغَ الْمَوْعِظَةِ وَ أَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ وَ أَوْثَقَ الْعُرَى الْإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ وَ خَيْرَ الْمِلَلِ مِلَّ
